I dont think anybody ever understood her fascination with the Baa. She had belittled and insulted her in every way possible. As Devika said ki Baa ne apne bete ka saath deke koi ahsaan nahin kiya hain unka beta itna galat tha ki uska saath koi de hi nahin sakta tha. Par pata nahin kyun her Baa Baa never ends.

I was also wondering the same. Since I watched the show on and off till Anuj’s entry, did they ever show Anupama not liking her mom coz she got her married at early age and did not let her study or something like that? If not, then it is very weird. Is she preferring Baa over her mom coz her mom is poor? They really need to explain it somehow.

I do watch the show often but I don't remember anything like this being mentioned so I am assuming she doesn't and it would seem out of character for Anupama too.... I think they choose to show baa-anupama equation in this manner for drama's sake...yeah hope they elaborate on that if they can

Anupama took "Pati devta hai, saas saasur maa baap he" phrase too seriously.

Remember when devika told about varnaj's affair she gave so much bhashan even though he was very bad with her.

Similar was he case with baa. Anuapama's tolerance limit is very high.

There was only once that Anupama had said that once she got married she forgot the dreams she had about her Maayka. It was after the affair came out. She had said this to Devika. But even after that she forgot all about them. She was all about Baa and bapuji. I could never understand this logic of hers.

Anupamaa is going through Stockholm Syndrome! That's the only explanation!
