Even I think the chemistry is lacking but the casting is appropriate based on their character.

Nandini is still not over her parent's divorce and her former breakup. She holds it so close to her heart that she thinks its a vital secret every Shah family member should know before SaNan marriage, which clearly denotes that she still gives it importance. She also respected Vanraj and assumed he was a great husband but VanYa exposition shattered her belief in relationships further.

Samar is more invested in the relationship than her and shows over-enthusiasm while Nandini keeps a stoic look. She is attached to Anupamaa, but not as much to Samar, and is only in awe of how much he loves her and has no clue how to reciprocate. Note how she took so much time to agree to the engagement and left it mid-way at the slightest glitch. She wasn't a Kavya supporter, she didn't have to leave, but she is less confident about relationships because of her romantic past and parents' divorce.

I am not sure about the casting because any actor could pull of their roles. It isn't that difficult. I can see other actors reprising their roles. The chemistry is flat because casting is inappropriate (Again, imo)

The dance part/taxi and goons fight have been attempted with so many couples but this was so cold and mild compared to other couples.

Also, despite Toshu's character....Kinjal-Toshu have more chemistry.
