The episode begins with Vanraj trying to patch up with Anu he apologises for what Kavya did at Toshu’s wedding , saying it was very wrong on her part. Van says Anu resented his coming to live in a Shah house after all that has happened. Anupama makes it very clear to him that he was a son, father, FIL and Bro in this house, nothing more than that. She makes it clear she had no intention to patch up with him. She was taking care of him only out of humanity.
Anupama then tells Samar that the society wants wives to forgive husband’s faults but no one thinks of the wife’s feelings , her rights , he wishes. All can see the husband’s hurt but no 9ne sees the wife’s pain . Anumapa makes it clear to Samar that she was not the ones to give in , she will never forget or forgive,she will fight for what’s her right .
samar is so proud of his mother n her modern feelings.he thinks his mom is a rock star. Hugs her lovingly.
Anu hands Samar the khichdi n asks him to make his father eat it . Samar goes to Van’s bedroom n places the meal before him, and asks him to eat it . Then noticing Van’s discomfort n clumsiness with his left hand Samar feeds him himself . Anu watches them secretly .
Kavya tries to contact Van but he does not take her calls. Kavya feels jealous n worried.
later Samar is asked by Van to write a leave application for hi. Samar does it in a jiffy earning much appreciation from Van, Samar tells him that he might not be a toooer like Toshu bhai but he too had many good qualities. Van collect his laptop from Kavya’s place .
When Samar reaches her house she gets a dream that Van had dent zsamar tk collect all his things as he had broken uo with Kavya n would never ever return to her . Soon her day dream breaks n she sticks a note to his lap top n hands it to Samar.
Van reads the note from Kavya, he gets furious n crushes it n chucks it away angrily. He refuses to call her as she had requested.
At her house Kavya is missing Van n wonders why he was not calling her.
Van then plans new year celebration with Pakhi, she does the decorations. The entire Shah family sing n dance n cut cake n have lots of fun n masti . Thru a video call that Kavya makes some one accidentally takes the call n she views the celebration at Shana house n how Van was enjoying with family . They welcome the new year n home the coming year is better for them, the by gone year was very difficult n painful for everyone. Van wishes well for everyone , he looks at Anupama n hopes they make a new beginning. Sanjay glares at Van n hopes that not only calendar changes but people’s character too. Van n Sanjay have angry eyelock.
Pakhi plays a game. Asking everyone to write their new year wishes . Samar wants more success in his endeavours this year. Anu wants she can manage the household n job to me manages better . Van wants only Family.
After cake cutting fami,y members feed eachother the cake . Anu an accidentally come face tk face while feeding cake, she refuses to accept bite of cake from. An n turns away to take a bite from Samar instead, Van is disappointed.
