For Anupama, her sense of duty is what defines her to herself. Her dignity comes from her belief in herself to conduct herself in a way that stays true to her values. Doing any of the things that you have listed would demean her in her own eyes, I feel.

It's dragging a bit around vanraj's ego and refusal to grow up phase 🤣

but it is practical. For a man child to become a man, it takes time. plus thankfully there is no unwanted saas bahu ekta type drama. I like bapuji's role a lot. He is sensible, practical and strng headed man of the family. Baa is fine except that her love for her only son makes her weak. Everyone is upto their defined roles and their traits. Anupama's character has been defined and shaped up in a way and if she is shown to be something else than being bold & strong...it will be out of character for her.

I am looking to have Kavya put some sense into her man's head once he starts living there. The game has already begun !!! Surprised, both never realised this about each other for 8 long years (when Vanraj seems to have lived with Kavya on-off by lying to family abt business trips/tours...)

On point

@bold maybe at that time they were more for enjoyment and everything so that they can spend most of their quality time together but now that he is going to live with her fully then both are realising these things or we can say that CVs are just showing to make Vanraj realise the importance of Anupama

Honestly, I love the pace this show is progressing. I have not found anything boring yet and I am liking it this way.

I haven’t watched the other show so I cannot comment. So far as Anupamaa is concerned, I think the show is at least trying to emphasise all issues in a more dignified way without making us uncomfortable entirely. The dialogues have been amazing so far and had it been as dramatic as you are saying is happening in the Bengali version, then the charm of Anupamaa would diminish.

Director’s Cut is not the kind of production house to ever showcase scenarios you have mentioned happening in the other show. None of the shows I have watched from DC has ever taken respect and dignity of women lightly - at least not for the sake of entertainment anyway. We can see this in Anupamaa - in other shows we may have seen Anupamaa going to Kavya and calling her a home wrecker and so on... but they did not do this here because Kavya is not solely responsible for the cheating and since she is not a family member, there’s not much you could say to her anyway and that is realistic approach.

The show is not getting boring. Yes, it is not as dramatic as one may expect a show about extra marital affair to be, but life is not always dramatic. There are moments of joys, realisations, moving forward, how to deal with betrayal etc... there are other scenarios that go beyond and this is what Anupamaa is showing. It is about a woman who chooses to move on forward to the best of her ability after finding out her 25 years has been a sham.

I like the way the show is progressing.

@bold You should definitely check out Story 9 months ki on Sony. Extremely realistic portrayal of an extra marital affair, very well handled. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy Anupamaa for it’s entertainment value. But Story 9 Months ki did it much better.

Just fyi, that’s the only commonality between the shows. The show is very different from Anupama. Lol Ig I’m just promoting Story 9 months ki. The show has amazing cinematography, almost like a web series.

Anupama is story is not just about extra martial . And it is not story of just one man and two woman

It is story about how husband keep controling his wife and but himself to do any thing

Main concept of this serial to show how hard work love and sacrifice of house wife ignore by husband and continue humilate by husband just wive Dont know english

And husband keep praising himself that maine bete hone ka farz nibhaya and ignoring that ghar banane mein wife ka bhi haath hota hai

And also it also showing that husband are free to do anithing but wife is not allow to to talk to her friend not allow to do job, not allow to learn driving

Simple it is story of wife which is treated by husband as maid

And kavya se rehne ke baad bhi vanraj chahta hai ki anupama uske liye wife ki duty nibhati rahe and vanraj ke permission ke bina khuch bhi na kare

Kavya ke saath affair hone ke baad bhi vanraj anupama pe control rakha chahta hai

And its dialogue is so real that such line we have Even heard in real life for many year

Family atmosphere family probem problem family problem discussion shown in anupama is so real
