Making a mockery of marriage

What is behind Kavya’s intention to get married? As Toshu rightly pointed out, neither Kavya nor Vanraj are divorced so a marriage between them would not only be invalid but it would be illegal.

If Kavya is bold enough to have an affair while being married herself with a married man and cares a fig about societal norms (for 12 years), why this sudden urge to confirm and give the relationship fake status?

Is it out of spite to prove to herself that she, Kavya, is more important than Anupama to Vanraj? Is it plain jealousy that Anupama for once is in the limelight and she wants to snatch that from Anupama? Kavya has always witnessed the family put Anupama down, including her two kids, Toshu and Paakhi, and Kavya has basked in that importance. But this once, Anupama is being made a fuss of, and Kavya cannot brook it.

The woman has no insecurity issues, she uses that as an excuse to lasso Vanraj into agreeing to the marriage. She is brazen enough to put Vanraj’s name on her hands at Anupama’s mehendi, evil enough to vow that she will take Anupama’s husband for herself. She is plain seething jealous of Anupama’s one minute of fame and importance in her own family.

Kavya is smart enough to realize the entire marriage is a sham and worthless, she admits as such to Toshu and also dares him to go to the police and threatens that Vanraj will be behind bars as well.

Why make a mockery of the sanctity of marriage when both parties involved have paid scant attention to the institution of marriage for the last 12 years?

Kavya’s eagerness to wed is laughable and ludicrous. Skipping along in that red sari in the precap, asking Vanraj how he finds his last day of being a boyfriend as he will be her husband as of tomorrow is absurd in the extreme. Who is she kidding? What happened to her husband? She decides in her mind who is her husband when and switches them out at will? Strange woman. I hope she gets stood up tomorrow and knows her own piddly place.

Earlier kavya has little bit humanity. She has grey shade now she has turn completely into negative character

A person completely with complete negative characters don't care about moral values don't care about other happiness only care about his or her happiness

Same with kavya character now kavya is only concern about her own happiness she has become complete selfish and for her own happiness and to achieve her own happiness she can do any thing like mockery of marriage and not caring about moral and value

i hate vanraj and kavya. they are shameless people. the whole marriage thing is a sham. 😵 kavya is behaving like a brainless bimbo. she used to be a sorted person and always said she understands that vanraj's family is first priority. but now she doesn't care. IMO, ever since Kavya entered Shah house she realized that being husband and wife gives a couple a whole another level of acceptance from society and rights over each other.

She saw that Anupama got to sit in pujas with Vanraj, she got the respect and love from the family. Earlier in her short visits she had only been the center of attention of the family.

She saw that Vanraj loved the food cooked by Anupama, and she got jealous of even the fake love and attention that Vanraj gave to Anupama.

All this led her to think that if she marries Vanraj, she would ask him for all. these "wife" rights even if she is the second one and then she would have both the love and the rights over Vanraj. Its her obsession of replacing Anupama in all the ways that she could.

It's DKP show, what can we expect better?

Anyway coming to the point, Kavya is like throwing herself into the fire. She knows being a well educated woman, the marriage is illegal, still she wants this relationship to be given a name. Then why not earlier? Even in Bengali version I guess, the pair got married after the divorce, not such childish act. And moreover where is Anirudh?

He was jumping so much to disclose the truth of affair and now he's vanished totally.

I agree, Kavya appeared like a woman with modern thoughts, considered women equal, at least that is the impression she gave by encouraging Anupama to work, standing up for her, etc. Now, she has turned a complete 180 degrees and is all out to get whatever Anupama has. Selfish to the core.

That is just lip service on her part because that is what Vanraj probably wants to hear so she tells him she understands his family is important to him. She is a brainless bimbo as you say and is crazy in her obsession.
