Monday Episode No 126 18/10/10
Appanum pillaiyum ore pOnnu kitte asadu vazhinjing - habba. Vetti Officer Karthik comes to dad's office and talks about "rule nna ellarukkum onnu thaan " Appa room le apdiye enter pannaliyaam, permission kettaaraam !! - Rojaaaaa, stop this nakkal and get to the point. In a nut shell , after the vazhinjaans decide to stop jolling, Shree is asked to meet them both - venue?? some temple.
Shree meets Adithya - as usual she does not allow Adhi to talk - goes on bombarding him
for being mean...not talking to Nivedha..blah blah. Finally Adhi manages to enter the monologue. Tells Shree the real reason - only to get a clean conduct certificate from her about Nivedha's dad - " yaarO pulugu moottai ...Nivedha appa apdi dhrogam panravar illai " (wait till u meet him tomorrow in the temple ) Aadhi agrees " once before some one talked ill about Nivedha...tried to catch him but pakshi paranthu pOchu..." Finally Shree promises to talk to Nivedha , makes Aadhi promise that he won't ditch Nivedha - intha promise vaangum padalam is seen by that Dubai returned pOkkiri and local pOkkiri - Prem's dad.
Shree goes to Nivedha's place - to play advocate for Aadhi. Nivedha hates the mere name...
Shree tries to inform......both RR and Anu are around...... innum sollalai...

Anu's house - Shree is thinking that Adhi had to have been mistaken - RR is such a loving husband to Anu. RR asks her what she is thinking about, she says Nothing in particular, and takes leave. Nivedha comes to the door to see her off, and repeats that she doesn't want to hear the topic of Adhi again.
The long awaited scene - Shree is waiting at the temple. She goes near the entrance, sees Karthi entering, her face lights up, she is about to call his name, when she sees RR entering and coming with him into the temple. She is confused, and hides behind a pillar to watch. They go to the sannidhi together, and it looks like Karthi is looking for her. She remembers what Adhi said about RR's double life, tells herself it cannot be true, decides to call Karthi. He answers, she asks him where he is, he says "they" are in the temple, she asks who he means by "they", he says his father is with him, he asks where she is, and she says she is in the temple. What a silly answer! She should have said she has been delayed on the way. Anyway, she realizes she cannot face them, so she leaves without meeting them. Karthik and RR are puzzled at her non-appearance and are wondering what could have happened. RR says she must have been called away from her office, and tells Karthi to find out later.
Night - Shree is worrying about what she saw in the temple - she thinks of what Adhi told her, she remembers seeing Nivedha's paati get angry when she saw Karthi's grandparents, she remembers seeing RR act the part of a loving father and husband in Anu's house - Shree's mother comes there, asks her why she is up so late, and advises her to go to bed - Good night!
RR is worrying about why Shree failed to show up at the temple - he is wondering if he is somehow responsible for his children's marriages not taking place, first Nivedha's, now Karthi's - Aamaam, how can you not realize that the sins of the fathers will be visited on the sons? Sundu comes in, asks how the meeting with Shree went, (idhai officele ketka koodaatha?) RR thinks he is responsible for these problems, tells him how she didn't show up after saying she was in the temple, and Sundu says he knows her, she is a very forthright person, if she had any doubts, she would have asked them directly. Then he says that he knows her father very well, his name is Shreenath. (Script writer sodappal - her brother's name is Shreenath, and just recently, Shree said to Adhi that her parents knew Nivedha's parents very well, so how is it that Sundu doesn't know that RR also knows the man?)
Karthi comes in, he says he too is puzzled why Shree's phone couldn't be reached. Right then, Pallu comes in, wants to know what they are talking about, and since everyone is secretive in these families, they mazhuppufy and RR says he was talking about Karthi joining him in his business. What about Santhosh? Pallu tells them to go in for dinner. They go in, leaving the front door open, as usual!

Karthik goes to Shree's office, she is not there, the receptionist says she has taken the day off, surprised he doesn't know about it, she says that Shree is arrogant and just because she is rich, she thinks she is above everyone. Karthi says that she is not rich, but the receptionist is on a roll, she tells him that someone went to her father's house to give her an invitation, and found that she did not live in a house, but in a mansion. (Q - why would he go to her father's house to give the invitation, why couldn't he wait till she came to work the next day?) Karthi asks for the address, says his FIL moved into the new house last month, and he hasn't had the time to get the address so far (lame excuse, if you ask me!), takes it and leaves.
Shree is getting ready to go somewhere, mom is nowhere to be found, dad says that she has gone to the temple to offer prayers so that Shree can get married soon. Apparently someone told her that if she does this for nine weeks, Shree will get married (does this mean that the serial will get over in nine weeks? Please, please God, let this be true!). Anyway, Shree leaves and Karthi arrives outside her gate, looks at the big gate and the big house. Prem arrives right then, confirms that this is Shree's house, Karthi says she lied to him and he hates her now, Prem adds fuel to the fire by saying that Shree lied to him out of her love, Karthi is furious, throws away the piece of paper with her address and leaves, Prem is pleased at how well he has lit the fire. Shree's brother comes out and asks who the guy was, and Prem mazhuppufies, saying that was someone who wanted a loan from him.
Shree goes to Paati's house, asks Paati to tell her the rest of the story, says she has seen parts of the puzzle, she is trying to put it all together, Paati asks her what she is talking about, Shree mazhuppufies. Paati then launches into the story of how theirs was a happy family, and shows flashback of Anu and RR in their early days of marriage, konjifying.

Thursday- Patti is recounting the past to Shree
Flashback- RR and Anu konjufy-ing at home (what a bore to watch).
Patti is telling Shree what glorious days those were, watching RR and Anu live happily.
Flashback- Anu's parents come visiting one fine day, and invite them for a brother's wedding in Salem. RR, Patti and Anu have a discussion, and RR says he is too busy to go, so asks his mother to go with Anu. Mother refuses, and decide that Anu should go for the wedding with her parents. Anu of course doesnt want to go without RR, but reluctantly agrees. She leaves with her parents that evening (Wonder how they give 1 day's notice for weddings!)
2 days later, when Anu was supposed to return, RR sits by the radio, and hears there has been a terrible 3 train accident in Salem, and most people are dead. RR and Mother start RKO, and somehow there is no documentation of any of this, so they assume Anu is dead when she doesnt return home.
RR and mother are grieving at home with Sundu, and RR is convinced Anu is dead (idiots, wont you call her parents??). His mother takes a short trip to see the family josiyar to inform him that his vAkku was false- he told earlier that their "horrorscopes" were very good and they will live long, but her daughter in law passed away after wedding..the josiya is shocked, and he looks at the jaadagam and calculates. After a long pause, he tells RR's mother that he is right, and that Anu is not dead...thodarum

Update for Friday, Oct 22, 2010:
Paati is still flashbacking to Shree: She goes to the josiyar who flatly states that Anu is still alive, she will return to them soon and will have santana bhagyam too. He tells her to tell her son not to make any hasty decisions - I guess he knows that RR is planning to remarry soon! So much for his broken heart!
Paati goes home and Viswanathan (Pallu's dad) comes to see her. She tells him what the josiyar has said, he says so many bodies have not been found, does this mean they are all alive? He says that he cannot stand to see RR in this state, so he has decided to get him married again (why the tearing hurry?) to his daughter. His daughter likes RR, and since he was the one who got RR married to Anu, would he now suggest that RR marry his daughter if he were not convinced that Anu is dead? Paati tells him to leave. On his way back, he runs into RR and updates him on what happened in their house. RR goes home and tells Paati she is the only one who still believes that Anu is alive.
Flashback continues - RR tells Paati that he is worried about her, because she still believes that Anu is dead. He tells Paati that Viswanathan sir is concerned about their family, he is a well wisher. Viswanathan also comes in, Paati says she has seen their scheme, and says she and Anu will never forgive him if he remarries V's daughter. Really, RR, what is this insane rush to get remarried? Paati tells him to wait for a year or two, but V says there is no need. Paati is angry.
