@LJ- I think you're right...it seems like this Viswanathan was a good fellow who helped RR get married...so he didnt start off trying to get him married to P...so something must have happened-

Like P went into coma, and she wanted to die as a sumangali, so Viswanathan convinced RR to tie the thali to "act" as husband for a few days until she RIP. But of course miraculously she survives and comes out of the coma, and does a KKT (KaNavane KaN KaNda Theivam) on RR. He decides to therefore save her by acting permanently as husband (because she will die of heart attack if she hears a adhirchi-yaana news)

@migan.... We are all living in this era where we watch enough movies and serials to experience their so-called "pressing issues" which results in ridiculous actions being taken by very intelligent well informed people.

I know what happened - RR got married to Anu, Pallu was in college and she returned home, saw this hunk of a RR (ahem, ahem, I am blind, you see!), fell head over heels in love with him, he was trying to explain to her that he had a biwi at home, she fainted, doctor said she has a heart condition, adhirchi thara koodaathu, so Pallu's dad told him to pretend to be in love with her, then she woke up and insisted on marrying this Greek God (nejamaave naan blind thaan!), and so RR ended up marrying her! How is that for a story?
