Why no south?

Why was south zone not a part of antakshari? was this point raised and answered anytime by the producers?
They cannot given the excuse that south is non hindi speaking belt because I think we speak much much better hindi and east.
For that matter neither are east and west striclty hindi speaking zones.
North and central are but we saw north couldnt produce one decent team where as central had only one.
I think its extremely unfair teh makers to exclude south.
Their tlak about country and everything on the show is sooo fake since they didnt even consider south as part of india.

they speak tamil over there I think, and maybe the knowlegde of hindi songs is less than of tamil songs

Actually this is just a guess.. so I dont know

South does include Andhra Pradesh, Tamilnadu, Karnataka, Kerala...so its not just tamil....
and, I guess, atleast the major cities in these states talk hindi...no matter what, they should have atleast invited them to play...
India is basically divided as north, south, east, west... but Gajendra singh has created his own division as central......which is the biggest flaw of this show... I wonder, how come no one raised the objection in India...

Even i noticed this.. Kerela has 99% litracy rate of which the Indians boast abt yet south was not included and it is one the major provinces of India! 😕

Yeah I agree!! Hindi is also a part of the education... The antakshari should have conducted auditions instead of assuming that South is a non-hindi knowing zone..

Actually south hardly people watch these channels .There are lot of regional channels and they also have antakshri and similiar programs and people prefer that. I know guurati and marati and bangla too have this but for some reason the viewership is less in the south.

If you watched SRGMP Challenge 2005 or Indian Idol 2Hema chandra n Karunya were from the south and they showed how the parents that it was a challenge for them to ask people to watch ZEEor Sony to give their children the vote. Also in Challenge 2005 if you saw the number ofvotes that came in from the south was very little hardly in comparison to the other regions.

Maybe they should again give it another shot and maybe this time there may get a better response

Yes, I agree that south got lot of regional channels.. the same thing happens with east... they got lot of bangla channels.. and coming to Saregama or Indian Idol.. there eliminations were based upon the votes.. where as Antakshari is more abt knowledge of songs.. also, if Hemachandra or Karunya didnt get enough votes, then why Hema was third place, and Karunya ended up second beating all the other singers.....No matter, where they r born, great talent can always be recognised.. and let me tell u, Hyderabad got the maximum no of cinema theatres.. and if people doesnt speak hindi, then how come the Hindi movies are played there... also, in the past..there were lot of people from south, who participated in Zee Antakshari...atleast without giving a trial, conclusions cannot be drawn..
