It's interesting how The Boss is calling for a truce because she doesn't want anyone to come betwen husband and wife. Where was this high-minded thinking when she was busy guarding the love nest of a MARRIED man and his lady love, even though she called his wife "Akka"? Remember that no one (not even this irritating Boss) knew that Abhirami was an evil person back then.

I am very happy to see Rohini repeatedly humiliated by her illicit lover turned husband - a woman who sets up a love nest with someone else's husband shouldn't expect to be secure in her OWN marriage to him. Cheaters never change - see, now he's threatening to bail out on Rohini too. Rohini-ku intha serupu adi theva thaan and she deserves to stay married to this spineless lowlife so that she may have the opportunity to "enjoy" Abhirami's sloppy seconds (which is all Katta Bomman really is) for the rest of her natural life. Ithellam oru vazhkai / pozhapu. Kari umiyanum pola iruku.

Abhirami may be manipulative and evil, but at least she is LOYAL. Shanti will ask how much kilo loyalty is if she was in Abhirami's situation. Let's see how she reacts when she realizes that Rocky is her husband's natural son by someone else. Then, of course, the director will change the story to have Manisha play the martyr, sacrificing her "love" while The Boss will adopt Rocky as her own son. BAH

Paythal, I don't know what you mean by Abhirami's loyalty. If you mean she was faithful to Madan in wanting to hang on to the marriage and not seeking remarriage subsequently, I must respectfully add a dissenting note. What sort of fidelity is it when you enter into a marriage with someone in order to wreck his family?

No, I do not mean that at all.

(A) How did Abhirami intend to wreck havoc on Katta Bomman's family? By getting her hands on all of their property (which, in HER mind, came from having swindled her father). How did Abhirami plan to achieve this? By getting her brother & sister married to KB's brother and one of the sisters - so they will enjoy the property. That was her original intent and really, how many SILS/ DILS these days overflow with the milk of human kindness towards their inlaws?

(B) Abhirami has repeatedly proven that she is a VERY GOOD FRIEND and a VERY BAD ENEMY. That is what I meant by "loyalty". See how she goes to any extent to protect her father (even though he is an out-and-out criminal), her mother (even though Charu repeatedly insults and humiliates her), her Paati (even though the old woman did not originally accept her) etc. She was a good friend to Rohini - even telling her that she will fall at her lover's feet to make him accept Rohini - when she found out Rohini was pregnant and did not know that Madan was the father. She was a very loving sister to Shyam and Ramya - giving them shares of RK's property and which they too greedily accept before they decided to "reform".

She was very loving toward Indu and treated her very well when Indu went to live with her for a while.

Yes, she was manipulative, but she shows her colors openly. Not like Shanti and Rohini who pretend to be "friends" and then either act as "go-between" for the friend's husband or steal the friend's husband! The Boss and RK's clan hate Abhirami because she has outwitted them every step of the way. They are none of them any match for her. Whiny, lame @ssed gumbal.

I think Abhirami SHOULD remarry. Now that she has reformed (she has returned RK's properties and has begged him / Charu for forgiveness - not her problem if RK refuses to accept the properties back) - now that she has reformed, she SHOULD remarry and settle down with a good man. Rohini can keep Katta Bomman. Abhirami shouldn't touch him with a barge pole even if he came crawling back. The Boss needn't worry about Abhirami getting back with Katta Bomman - Abhirami has already said she IS NOT interested in a life with the scumbag. The Boss should focus on her OWN vazhkai, instead of preaching to others about how to lead their married lives. Stupid hag.

Agree with you on most counts, Paythal. But the "Boss", as you refer to her, never pretended to be Abhi's friend. Both she and Abhi hated each other's guts and never pretended to be friends though outwardly they were civil towards each other for the rest of the family's consumption. And, the Boss did not deliberately wreck the Abhi-Madan marriage; Madan had already wrecked it himself. No, he had wrecked his own life by not having the guts in the first place to stand up to Daddy and say he was already spoken for and could not do Daddy's bidding in marriage.

Nope. Remember that Shanti was very grateful to Abhirami initially for being the only person (other than Raji) to welcome her into the family and called Abhirami "Akka, Akka" continuously. Then, she found out about Madan's affair and meekly agreed with him that the affair was justified because "Akka has no kids!" So she basically backstabbed the woman who she believed was good to her and who she called "Akka". The Boss has quite a sterling character, if I may say so.

Absolutely. Which is why I call him Veera Pandiya Katta Bomman. Can you feel the sarcasm just rolling off my lips? He's a slimy scumbag and Abhirami should be singing "Good riddance to VERY BAD RUBBISH!" because she is well rid of him. Rohini is more than welcome to her (Abhirami's) yechal.
