August 1, 2007 Brief Update

Jamuna alias Kanakavalli the woman who is acting as SKPDs and Charu's daughter is actually a policewoman, the guy acting as her dad is a cop too. ACD and JC are discussing about Jamuna and her so called father infiltrating SKPD and gang. ACD says, he has now leaked the info to SKPD, but feels that SKPD or Charu may not believe Jamuna is their daughter entirely, so he has some plan to make them completely believe Jamuna is their daughter. JC gives him all the authority (full rights) to make any decision in this case.

Kandhu is going on a pilgrimage, in hopes of getting married. His men garland him and send him off.

SKPD is looking longingly at his daughters photograph. Kannaku tells SKPD that this information might not be fully true. SKPD does not like Kannku's idea. He tells Kannaku to buy a big bungalow in the city, where his daughter will live like a Princess. Kannaku is skeptical. He drags Kannaku to the spot where he was shown his daughter. Kanakavalli is making porridge, her dad comes and asks her for money to drink, she refuses to give. Her father then rattles off saying "if you were my own daughter you will not behave like this". They rattle off about how he discovered her abandoned in a temple 30 years back. Of course, all this is heard by SKPD and Kannaku. Kanakavalli also tells her dad if her real mom or dad come back, she will go with them. SKPD immediately wants to take her back with him, but Kannaku stops him.

Joe has located Shanti's house and is following her around. He follows her upto Indhu's school and way back. Shanti notices this and is tense. (I thought this was very stupid of Shanti, she knew somebody was following her even before she reached Indhu's school, she should have tried and cut him off).

SKPD comes home and tells Kannaku he has to bring back his daughter before Charu does, and after all this, its only war between him and Charu.

ACD asks JC for a favor. He asks for police surveillance at Shanti's house, tells JC about someone following Shanti and both JC and ACD feel that the "murder" and this stalking may be related. JC agrees to give surveillance and asks ACD to take help from the concerned police station and asks for a request letter from Shanti.

SR's cook, (Govindan's wife) is now working at Charu's house. She goes grocery shopping and returns with a box of sweets. She tells Charu that a man SKPD has found out his daughter after 30 years and he distributed sweets to celebrate it. Charu is happy/shocked/worried. FREEZE.

Aug 2(Thurs):

After looking at the sweets box with SKPD's picture on it, Charulatha goes to meet AC Durai at his home. ACD meets her and says that it is surprise that Madam Charulatha has come to see him and that too at his home. To this Charulatha says is there as Muthulakshmi and wants to see her daughter. ACD tells her before he tells her who her daughter is, will she let him know why Muthulakshmi became Charulatha.

Story begins..............

Muthulakshmi(MP) is the daughter of wealthy farmers and was educated but she is timid. SKPD liked her and asked her hand in marriage and her parents agreed because SKPD was a successful businesman even thoug he wang young. Thye got married and lived a happy live with their little daughter Muthu Pechi(MP). MP thought of SKPD as a loving husband although he was short tempered. He was always solving small quarrels at panchayats.

One day, SKPD, Krishnamachari and another men murder Veerasamy(Anamica's dad) and get his thumb print on some papers. This is the land where there are to build a college. After the murder, the three men gather at SKPD's house and rejoice. ML hears about the murder and goes out and shouts at SKPD. She then goes in and takes her daughter and leaves saying she will go tothe police. SKPD sends one handed Subramaniam to go after her and either to bring her or kill her if she refuses. At one point she is caught by Subramaniam and instead of killing her, tells her to escape and that he will tell SKPD he had killed her and thrown her into some ditch.

ML and her daughter walk to a temple and she leaves MP to get some water from the pond. After dringking some water, ML faints and when she gets up, her daughter is missing. ML says she looked everywhere for her daughter and had given up hope when an elderly Malaysian Indian found her and both exchange stories. The elderly man had lost his daughter (his daughter committed suicide because he did not agree to the marriage). The man took MP to Malaysia and taught her his business and made her his heir and that is the story of MP becoming Charulatha.

ACD asks why she didn't tell who she is when she cam back to India. To his MP says that SKPD saw her one day and was suspicious. He had questioned Subramaniam but he maintained his story about killing MP. MP then tells ACD that out of anger, she had revealed to SKPD that she is MP and when she finds her daughter, she would go to the police. SKPD had challenged that he would find her daughter and will kill her and MP. That is why she had hidden the truth for so long.

End of story.....

MP asks ACD if she would see her long lost daughter or will have to return to Malaysia empty handed. ACD looks at her. THODARUM.

Bonhuer and other ACD fans: First ACD was wearing a bright yellow polo T and vesti and later changed into a pink long sleeve shirt and a brown pair of slacks.

Yes Bonhuer, I did miss the part when Govindan's wife calls ACD and informs him about Charulatha leaving the house after seeing the sweets box. Thanks for point out the ommission. Sorry did'nt mean to purposely leave out that part.

Here's update for Aug 3(Fri):

ACD and Charulatha go to the construction site and ACD points at Kanagavali as her daughter. Charulatha looks at her and asks if ACD had thoroughly investigated if she is indeed her daughter because her inner feelings tell her otherwise. ACD tells her he had personaly taken an interest in the investigations and confirms that Kanagavali is her daughter. Charulatha wants to talk to Kanagavali but ACD tells her not to at the moment and they leave.

Shanti is sitting int he living and in deep thoughts. Arjun and Lethumanan come there and Arjun calls Shanthi Akka. Shanti is so deep in thoughts that she is unaware of their presence. Arjun calls her again and she looks up. Arjun asks her is she had informed ACD and Shanti tells him that he would give police protection and he wants a formal letter from her and that she had said ok. Arjun tells her that RK and Raji are worried about her and they asked if Karthik should be asked to come home. Shanti says no need for that and Arjun leaves telling her to call him if she needs anything.

The PI goes to see Charulatha and tells her about finding her daughter but feels bad about revealing her as she is not living well. After Charulata persists, the PI gives her Kanagavali's photograph and tells Madam that she works at a road construction. Charulatha takes the photo and looks at it and PI leaves.

Shanti is again in the living room deep in thoughts. Indu comes with a doubt and calls her mom bet no answer. Indu just sits there and Priya comes with some juice for her. Indu asks Priya if she had fought with her mom because her mom is tensed. Priya tells Indu to take the juice and sit down. She goes to Shanti and calls her and tells her food is ready. Meanwhile Joe is in a car outside her house and takes his cell and calls the house Priya picks up but the line is cut. Police is outside Shanti's house and thisis seen by Joe. Priya hears the sirens and go out to see what's going on. She sees ACD giving orders to some policeman. She freaks out and tells Shanti about it and asks if there is any problem. Shanti tells her maybe ACD is just being cautious after Priya's forgery case and tells her to stay while she goes out and see what the matter is.

Shanti opens the door and ACD comes in and tells her that police are surrounding her house and not to worry. He tells her not to be tensed and go out and endanger herself and leaves. Shanti closes the door and walks in when the phone rngs again. She picks it up and Joes tells her she will not be safe just because the police is there. THODARUM.

August 6, 2007 Brief Update

Joe calls up Shanti and threatens her, tells her he wants to know what Bril told her in his dying moments, he wants to know whether he told her any code. Shanti says Bril did not tell her anything, but he threatens her saying he will harm her daughter and will even kill her, gives her some time to recollect whatever Bril told her and hangs up. Shanti is upset.

SKPD and Kannaku are discussing Kanakavalli (KNK), Kannaku tells SKPD not to hurry up in this regard, to take it slowly. As they are discussing Abirami comes in, she realizes SKPD is not like his old self, says he has become very detached and some dialogs (I missed most of it) and finally leaves.

The road laying gang (KNK and gang) are assembled at the police station. They have been brought there because of a quarrel. Shankar comes, questions them, warns them, and lets them off. As they are about to go, he sees KNK and her "dad" (he is immediately suspicious), tells them they don't look like laborers. KNK's dad says they do other work apart from laying road and they leave. But, Shankar does not believe them. He keeps staring at them, thinking.

Insp. Ghani goes to Rajapriyan Nagar to inquire about "Othai Kai Subramanian (OKS)". He tells the villagers to open up with what they know and not make the same mistake they made with Priyan.

Arjun and Narayanan come to Shanti's house. To make her feel more secure they install a closed circuit camera in and around the house so that Shanti will immediately know of what's happening etc.

Kandhu is back from his pilgrimage. His men Sivakomaru, Pachiappa welcome him back. Sivakomaru tells Kandhu that Murugesh has been killed, apparently by SKPDs men. Kandhu is shocked and thinking. FREEZE.

August 7, 2007 Brief Update

Another boring episode, only a brief appearance by ACD today.

Kandu is shocked hearing Murugesh is dead. He thinks deeply. Sivakomaru asks him if he had any dealings with Murugesh and if he is upset becoz of that, Kandhu replies he is thinking about how to use this to his advantage.

Abirami sees detective Krishnakumar(KK) on the road, she chases him to his office. She demands to know the relationship between SKPD and him. She threatens him saying she will go the police with all the financial dealings between him and SKPD and then he has to open his mouth. KK is unhappy.

Shanti is picking up Indhu from school, she is very tense, looking around for any suspicious characters. As she is about to leave school, Joe calls her up, tells her how bad it will be to see Indhu wearing a white uniform in a white ambulance hurt. Shanti is too upset.

SKPD goes to see Kanakavalli's dad, tells him he is KNKs real dad, asks dad to give up his daughter. Dad refuses, tells SKPD to kill him and then take his daughter. SKPD returns back.

KK comes to ACDs office, tells him "thappu nadanthu pochu." He tells ACD he was forced to reveal to Abirami who SKPDs daughter is, ACD asks him whose name he told, he says Kanakavalli (KNK). ACD thinks for a while and finally tells a KK even that's for good, and tells KK not to tell anybody else, asks KK to go out of town and to co-ordinate his activities from some other place.

SKPD is thinking about his daughter, Kannaku tells him that he should not mind KNK's father, that he should just bring KNK home. SKPD says that's not possible. My daughter knows nothing about me, if I bring her back home by force, she will think her father is a bad person. For that reason he will not do that.

Abirami goes to see KNK. As she approaches her, KNK's bucket of hot tar falls on her feet. Abirami and KNKs dad help her to her feet, and Abirami is going to take KNK to a hospital. FREEZE.

August 8, 2007 Very Brief Update

Another wasted episode

Abirami takes KNK to hospital and gets her treated.

Shanti is in a supermarket, gets a call from Joe asking her for what Bril told her. Shanti says she has already told him what she know, says she is on the way to a hospital. But Joe comes to the supermarket, and threatens to shoot both Indhu and Shanti if she does not open her mouth (both of them are standing backs facing each other, he tells her not to attempt to look at him, otherwise innocent people in the supermarket will die, so Shanti does not turn). He also tells Shanti he likes this chasing game very much.

SKPD is going to construct a house for KNK, Abriami comes, SKPD tells Kannaku not to open his mouth about the house. But Abirami shocks SKPD by telling him she knows KNK is her daughter, and finally tells she will unite both father and daughter. SKPD feels bad he has not understood Abirami well. Abirami finally tells about KNK's accident and SKPD is very upset about it.

Detective Krishnakumar (KK) calls up Charu to tell her about KNKs accident. He gives her the name of the hospital and the doc's phone number. Charu calls up the doc to find out KNK has left to Thiruvadanthai with her dad becoz its full moon the next day.

Charu comes to the Thiruvadanthai temple and sees her daughter. Father and daughter see her approaching and act as if they are talking about the day she was abandoned. KNK says she would like to meet her mom and ask her why she left her there. Charu is hearing all this. Charu comes closer and calls KNK Chinna Pecchi to which KNK responds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Charu tells her she is her mother. FREEZE.

August 9, 2007 Very Brief Update

Folks this is just a gist of what happened today, I was not able to pay much attention to the episode, but still..

KNKs dad thinks Charu is mad, but Charu tells KNK and her dad that she is not, that she is KNKs real mother. She tells how she lost KNK and all that. KNK does not believe her, she is quite angry. Charu begs to KNK to come with her.

Shanti is down with a fever and Priya is attending on her. Priya feels Shanti is hiding something from her, she talks about the security arragements , the CCTV and all. Shanti denies anything is wrong. Priya finally says she will go and pick up Indhu from school, Shanti does not want Priya to pick up Indhu. Finally Priya calls up Arjun who agrees to pick Indhu from school.

As Arjun picks her up from school he sees Joe's SUV tailing them. Indhu tells Arjun this vehicle follows them every day. Arjun immediately alerts ACD who gives him some instructions (I missed all this), Arjun halts his car and lets the SUV pass, (I think he notes down the vehicle no) calls ACD again.

ACD makes a few calls and finally he arrives at the spot where the SUV has been abandoned. They find the vehicle number has been changed, no finger prints etc.

SKPD and Abirami comes to Pechi patti to tell her about her granddaughter. All the three of them leave to see KNK. Thodarum.

August 10, 2007 Update

SKPD takes Pechi patti to see her granddaughter. Pecchi wants to take KNK home along with her immediately. But SKPD says not now, in due course she will come home.

RK is on the beach laughing with the laughter club members. He sees ACD jogging (ACD looking damn smart in a red shirt/t-shirt with collar, zipped down partly – I've best tried to describe it, and white track pants – I wish he had worn shorts instead), goes to talk to ACD. RK says he is not able to laugh at home because the situation is so, ACD says why are you so worried, we have given protection to Shanti, RK says Shanti was threatened by Joe that he would kill Indhu, and she is very scared. ACD says Shanti has not reported this to him, and says he will give security to Shanti when she is going out. RK feels the police are not doing enough to nab this person, ACD says the person we are dealing with is very smart, but he will find out the culprit soon.

Abirami comes to see KNK and her dad. He refuses to send KNK to SKPD. Abirami tells KNKs dad that he is denying his daughter the right to live a better life, she talks about how SKPD was to have adopted her and make her his legal heir and all. She also says SKPD spent a lot on KNKs treatment, that he will spend even more if necessary. She finally says if SKPD goes to police or law, then they cannot fight back and all. She manages to convince KNKs dad, who tells her to convince KNK also.

Raji is polamifying to RK and Madhan that both of them are busy with their own work, no body has time for her. She wants to go and visit Shanti, but nobody is ready to take her. RK reassures her saying Shanti is secure right now, and tells her he will come back in an hour and take her to Shanti.

JC asks ACD why he has still not traced the person who is stalking Shanti. ACD says the guy is not a regular criminal, he has some other agenda, the way he disposed off the dead body without a trace and abandoned the car indicate that. ACD has figured out Joe may want information that the dead man supposedly told Shanti and that is why he is after her. ACD says if they continue to follow Shanti, they will figure out who is after her.

SKPD is excited because his daughter is coming home, he asks Kannaku to get the aarthi ready. Abirami brings home KNK and her daughter. SKPD rattles off a list of property that he has bought for her and asks her dad why he kept her with himself instead of putting her in an orphanage. Abirami it taking arrthi. FREEZE.

August 13, 2007 Brief Update

KNK is at SKPDs home with Abirami and her dad. SKPD gives her dad some money which he refuses to accept, but finally he asks KNK to give it to him, which she does reluctantly, and he accepts reluctantly. SKPD asks KNK what she wants to which she says she wants her dad also to stay to, but SKPD says if he stays here you will be reminded of your road laying days, and he refuses to let her dad stay with her. He tells Abirami to show her around the house.

SKPD then calls Charu and gloats over the fact that their daughter is with him. Charu is very upset, throws the cell phone on the bed, falls on the bed and cries.

Shanti accompanied by JC visits a computer graphics guy, Shanti helps sketching the dead Joe Bril's face. (They do it in no time!!!!!). They come up with a good picture and JC tells Shanti not to reveal this to anybody.

Shanti comes back home. As she approaches home, they show two men working on a transformer near her house. She comes home and Arjun is waiting, they talk about something (muted dialogs). Priya who is upstairs casually looks from a window and sees the two men working on the transformer spying their house. She calls out to her anni and Arjun, who also come and see the two men spying their house. FREEZE

August 14, 2007 Brief Update

Priya, Shanti and Arjun peep out to see those guys looking at their house. Arjun is pissed off and tells Shanti to call JC. Shanti calls JC only to find out they too are policemen clad in mufti. She is relieved and Priya comments that they have become VVIPs and all.

SKPD's kannaku man comes in and sees a black car outside the house and someone repairing it, he gets suspicious, but does not say anything to SKPD. SKPD wants to do some annadhanam (I missed a little here) on Ammavasai because his daughter has returned back home.

Pecchi patti's (PP) house, a servant while lowering objects from the attic breaks Chinna Pecchi's toy, Pecchi patti is furious, shouts and him and sends him off. She phones Charu and calls her Muthulakshmi, Charu denies she is, but PP insists on talking to her, says even if you are Charu just listen to what I have to say. PP talks about Chinna Pecchi, her toys, how they bought them etc, finally tells Charu if you are Charu its alright, but if you Muthulakshmi, wipe the tears in your eyes. Muthulakshmi wipes the tears in her eyes and hangs up the phone.

Abirami comes to visit KNK who is sitting with SKPD. Abirami asks KNK how the name Vishanavi is, KNK asks for what, Abirami wants to know if KNK likes it or not, KNK says only if she knows for it, will she be able to get. KNK snubs Abirami, and SKPD is admiring KNK, but Abirami is irritated. Abirami says she wants to change Chinna Pecchi's name to Vishanvi, saying its old fashioned, but KNK cuts her off saying even Abirami is an old fashioned name, that she does not want her name changed. Finally SKPD tells Abirami to take KNK to a beauty parlor and transform her. Both agree to go. As they leave SKPD tells Kannaku to give KNK some money, kannaku says Abirami will have it, but SKPD insists, so Kannaku give, Abirami is not happy. As they are leaving, Kannaku sees the black car following them, alerts SKPD, who sends his men following the two ladies. SKPD thinks it must be Charu's man following his daughter.

At the beauty parlor, KNK is getting a facial done, sitting next to her is her mom, Charu. KNK cant see Charu, but Charu removes her eye shield and looks longingly at her daughter. Abirami is outside, SKPD calls her and tells he will pick up PP and come to temple, Abirami tells once the parlor session is over, both of them will come to the temple and hangs up. Charu comes to the waiting area and sees Abirami. FREEZE.
