Oh-oh!! Mathan competing for the president post!!! She is going to lodge a complaint saying he married another woman without first wife's consent and he will be behind bars soon this week.

Madan Wins!!!

What happens is, Madan and Vijaykumar bring Shanti comes to join the chamber as member. Srini is furious when he sees the application, but the other members accept Shanti readily. When Vijaykumar presents Madan's application to stand for Presidency, Srini flips and rushes out to meet Abhirami.

At Abhirami's place, she is stunned that Madan will be standing against her tells Srini scathingly that what use is all the influence that Srini says he has with the Chamber when he cant even prevent Shanti from being member.

Next scene is the actual election process - nail biting counting and Madan is declared WINNER!!

As it turns out Shanti's vote was the deciding one. Madan won by 1 vote! Abhirami is furious and stomps out.

Shanti has a very naughty expression on her face as she tells Madan that she has something urgent to attend to. She follows Abhirami's car, overtakes and stops in front of the car. Abhirami has no option but to stop and listen to Shanti gloating. Abhirami is furious.

Back in Madan's place, everyone is celebrating. Rajeshwari says that this good luck is due to Shanti's return. And that hopefully RK will return too.

21 Sep 2005 Episode

Well, the episode starts with Abhirami ranting and raving about her defeat. About how she is miserable that Shanti's vote was the deciding one. Shyam and sister try to reason with her but she is very upset and asks them to leave her alone. The scary sort of music is playing in the background - they are trying to show, I guess that Abhirami is getting a bit too obsessed - verging on pyscho.

Cut to Laywer Prakash's place, Arjun and Dinesh come over to request him to move the Madan divorce case asap.

Shyam is bringing mail into Abhirami's house. The divorce notice is in the pile. Abhirami says with distaste that she doesnt' want to touch that with her hands. SHyam tries to reason with her saying that if she is sure she doestn' want to live with Madan, she should divorce him and get on with life. Abhirami thinks about it and then surprisingly, says okay. "I will divorce him, but i will make his and Rohini's life a living hell. they shoudl not live happily ever".

Cut to family court. Both parties arrive - Abhirami with Shyam and Madan with Shanthi. The judge calls them and asks madan if he is sure he wants to go ahead with the divorce. Madan says, "i am sure. I dont want to live with her in this life or any future lives" judje says that madan should answer to the point. Judge asks Abhirami, she says "i consent wholeheartedly to divorce my ex husband madan'

Shanti and madan looked very relieved. Abhirami is a bit disturbed. When they go out, Shanti goes up to Abhirami. She says Abhirami, and Shyam says - wheres the akka, you used to say abhirami akka and now you say abhirami. Abirami cuts shyam and says 'what do you want di?' Shanti says very sweetly to shyam, see.. i want to treat her like my akka but she doestn' want to treat me like tangachee... then she and says to Abhirami that she should consider reforming. She assures her that even if she reformed, the rest of the family would never come back to her so she can rest assured about that and try her best. She says that if she didnt' reform, she might get caught in the tangled web that she has woven.

Abhirami is furious. Shyam says he is frightened at her appearance. It sure is a bit scary, she is staring with huge eyes and panting, the scary "adi hu ha" music is playing in the back ground. Abhirami points to her tali and says, that now this tali takes a lot of significance. It will stay near her heart and keep reminding her that she has to take revenge on Shanti and Madan and Rohini. The tali will remind her that she can't rest in peace until she has avenged all the 'tavippu' that madan gave her.

Just an after thought... was watching Anandam and during the ads flipped channels and caught a couple of scenes of Desperate Housewives. Couldn't help notice the stark difference. The DH ladies are so well dressed and beautifully made up. Actually, even Zee TV starlets are very well made up. Sukanya is talented, is beautiful everything but her make up is lousy.. the lipliner is so bright, the lipstick for most part is gone... whatever little is there is too glossy. Her blouses are so tight that you can see bulges here and there... why can't someone notice this and do the necessary corrections... actually the ultra closeups they are fond of showing these days are disgusting.. can see the skin pores and blackheads.. natural yeah.. but do we really need to see that??

Abhirami is the saving grace here.. her sarees are wonderful... and her make up is very subtle.. she is actually very pretty.. soemone told me that she is married and has two teenage children.. wow.. she looks wonderful for her age!!

Just my thoughts.. what do you think??

I agree 100%. Sukanyas make up & sari sense in the serial is appauling, not to mention her MANJA PALLU, when she smiles, in stark contrast with Abhirami's simple style of dressing, & not to mention her good performance. I thought abhirami's acting was pramadham in yesterdays episode.

i also want to say that i enjoy reading your updates,(i get to watch the serial before you post the update, but i still like reading your update) as i like your comments & opinions
