About sartorial matters. Folks, is Shanthi the only one whose sarees are sponsored? )The credits roll by too quickly for me to notice.) Some of Abirami's sarees are quite striking.

Do any of the men, esp ACD, wear sponsored clothes? Considering the waves he's been making with women, surely the director must be able to get some store to sponsor ACD's clothes?

On a separate matter, I find it totally jarring that RK is usually wearing jackets or suspenders. Do Indian businessmen wear formal clothes to work when they do not have business meetings?

One other thing I've noticed is that ACD's hair is all gelled up (actually it's more like he's using coconut oil or old-fashioned brylcream) when he is in AC uniform but not when he is in civilian clothes. I don't know whether this is a reflection of the attention that the director and makeup guys pay to detail.
