I thought it was unusual for a child to ask for coffee, since when we were growing up, we were always given milk, with some added flavorings to tempt those who did not care for plain milk. Coffee erodes the calcium in our bodies, and so it is best to keep children away from coffee, esp in their growing years. I don't suppose the directors think of these things, but it would be a good idea, since there are so many young mothers who are often unaware of these facts, esp in parts of the interior.

I agree with you eljay, children must be kept away from coffee ...

oh man! I haven't watched Anandham in like close to 6 - 7 months and i can still follow the story line 😲😲...thas def. shocking for me. So it still revolves around Monisha - Karthick - Shanthi, and AC durai - Priya marriage problems.

Eljay, in our part of the world, where milk is mostly imported (not that coffee isn't), drinking it used to be a luxury for most families until recent times. So, many kids were weaned off milk by the time they were 2-3 and given coffee instead. But, milk is in plentiful supply in India plus the RKs are a privileged family, so their kids should be drinking milk and expensive beverages rather than coffee. The crew obviously don't think through these things.

Thanks Bon and Pat for a double dose of Anandham! Yes, it looks like the director has lined up a person for Manisha (and made him a Kashmiri for an added bonus!), so that Shanthi can continue her thottum thodaatha life with Karthik. Maybe things will change this time around. Anyway, the point is, it does look like this triangle will cease to exist soon and we will say Hurray to that.

Whether we like it or not, if that doctor carries away(😆) Manisha from K, I am ready to do yet another vendudhal for the saga coming to a close😳. Then S can finalise about staying back or settling in the village.

So G- Kottai is aware of all the vishamams of darling daughter - so far so good. Amma, G_K amma, do something to Rohini also and save her from that Madhan.

I have this strange feeling that Viduthalai thinks he now has a new track -- Manisha-Guru -- and will drag it out. Please, folks, if you think this will be another bore, please, please vocalise your thoughts here. I am sure at least one crew member must be reading these pages and giving feedback to the director/producer though whether or not the producer has a hearing impediment is another matter.

Even if it was a ruse had Shanti relented, and accepted Manisha's explanation and she'd accepted the blank check, and the drama came later we'd all have been happy viewers. Case closed.

Folks, I also have this nagging feeling that the much-awaited ACD-Priya wedding, scheduled to take place within a month and a half (probably sooner in serial time), is going to be a big let-down. There will be no fanfare, as ACD has already said. So, EJ, Giri and battalion, forget the pattu sarees. There will definitely not be any RAM (romance after marriage). For all you know, there may even be QAM -- quarreling after marriage. No, not of the lover's tiff variety but on the scale of the previous quarrels between the two.

And, worse of all, thre may even be a repeat of the "thottum thodatha manaivi" crap -- ACD vowing not to consummate the marriage until after the killing of Sameer. Yes, I anticipate a flood of slippers and yardsticks coming my way. But I say this only in the hope that Viduthalai will have more sense and won't torture us with such "thottum thodatha" crap.
