If you remember, after Abhas asked her why she is crying, Kunal said something like, "tujhe meri behen manta hoon, ishiliye kehraha hoon," which implies that Kunal, along with Pritam, also said something to her that was edited out. Lord knows what he said, but it might've been been enough to make her cry. Plus, I heard that Anwesha is very sick and the last time she cried like this was also when she had a high fever. Anwesha has been criticised before and did not cry, so I'm guessing that her tears were a result of a combination of things. Pritam's comment suggested that he thought she has started being a little complacent and overconfident, which is actually quite insulting, especially since she seems to be the complete opposite of that. This, grouped with Kunal's comment (whatever it was, couldn't have been nice), and bearing the burden of being the no. 1 contestant (according to judges) and trying really hard to keep up this consistency, her sickness, receiving mixed messages (judges are telling her she's good, but the public, by not voting for her, are telling her she's not), worrying about lack of votes, the general psychological effect of being under alot of pressure and mental strain from her fans, parents, judges and peers, also being under the pressure to consistently perform well at this late stage of the competition (which is something all the kids are also going through I know) - this is all enough to make even the most hardened adult have a few breakdowns. And Anwesha already seems like an emotional kind of girl, so obviously she's more likely to have a cry.
And why single out Anwesha, Prakriti broke down and cried on Saturday during her 'lal dupatta' song. Other contestants have stopped between singing a song (for whatever reason, be it forgetting the lyrics, or singing in the wrong scale, or whatever) and have managed to restrain their tears. The truth is, all the contestants are goung through alot of pressure and strain and god knows what else, depending on their individual circumstances, so if they haven't cried onscreen, they most likely have either cried at home, or backstage or have, probably, expressed their emotions in other ways. It's just that Anwesha and Prakriti just happened to have expressed their emotions publically. It simply isn't fair for us to just put forward one (supposedly universal) reason as to why someone does what, because we are not them, we have not experienced what they are experiencing , we have no right to judge. Please understand, nothing is ever black and white, they are many variables involved as to the reasoning of the actions of people. I know the OP was only asking a question and wasn't making generalisations as to the reason for her tears, but to me, it seemed that he was picking on her (just my two cents). Plus, I answered his question (best way I could) in the first para.
