Touchy touchy. Mercy, please. Look, I would love for Toshi to prove everyone wrong and become this super singer. I would applaud him. Toshi should sit down and listen to what Jagjit Singh ji and Sunidhi said to him - you are good but don't try to do more in a song when more is not required. If he can listen to his critics then more power to him.

For the record – Toshi lost my vote due to the hype created around him and the unfair wild card show. No one should be allowed to change the rules of a talent show just because…what was unfair shall remain so no matter how loudly Toshi fans scream.

So there are people here who are close to Toshi – then have him really listen to the critical comments. He will benefit from it more than the accolades.

On that note - Good Luck, Toshi. Don't ever believe your press!

Glad you said it - he acts better than he sings. I don't think he is a bad singer but he was over-rated and acted like he thought he was something else. Glad Karma works - it was because of him that there was a wild card which made the game totally unfair. Now it is back to being somewhat far - wish Irfan was still around.

Toshi fans have all the rights to think he is the best of all just as much as a lot of us who think he is not greater than our legends.

I am sure even Toshi would agree greatness of a person is in respecting other genius in the field rather than be a self proclaimed greatest.

Isn't it bit too much even before a singer has started his career and sung one professional song in Bollywood suddenly becomes Master of masters??

This is ridiculous. First of all Toshi is a brilliant singer and why fault the singer when the person that brought him back was none other than Gajendra Singh. After all he made this show and who to bring back and who not to is all under his hands.

Toshi rocked the stage!!!!! He isnt perfect so obviously mistakes are bound to happen. HR is a well established singer and if you guys saw the SRGMP finale you will realise how much more mistakes he made to his own songs compared to Toshi.

If you talk about VOI, then Toshi is the best singer, but if we talk in general, yes, there are other singers better than him. Reality shows winners mostly becomes history after getting crowned. I'm happy that he is eliminated earlier and got contract with Sajid Wajid and happy for Irfan as well.

Proof of pudding - Let all the top 4 contestants be asked to sing 'Zindagi ka Safar hai yeh....' or 'Naina beet jayee'...these are simple songs, but good enough to test certain finer skills.

I agree, being able to sing on high notes and harkats are not only things.

And I do not agree to a statement that somebody made in this thread - 'Toshi sings those songs, which others do even cannot think of attempting'. Please let us not undermine the callibre of Abhaas, Irfan and Priyani, who could easily sing all those songs which we think are the toughest ones.

He slipped on the higher notes a couple of times too. He also seemed out of breath a lot in the lagan lagi song as a consequence of which he missed some words; that was quite uncharacteristic of him.
