A very valid point was raised here is that whether the results and the bottom 4 of the show are manipulated... I personally think all reality shows do that to some extent... some more some less... Even if the actual voting numbers are not manipulated (they even could be.. there is definitely a chance), the voting junta gets so for sure...
Arshpreet's elimination was probably the 2nd most dreaded one this week (after Abhilasha's)... She has always been an underdog, and inspite of being the best female voice (arguably over Abhilasha).. she would get more focus only over Prantika perhaps amongst all the finalists... The other reason was perhaps also the region she belonged from... Ishmeet has been reportedly getting a lot of support from his region and that does play against Arshpreet... I am happy that people stood by Ishmeet in this episode, after his tremendous 'Bheege honth', but then someone's gain was a terrible loss for many others....
Abhaas coming in the bottom 4 is an extreme surprise, and I am thinking what is the rationale behind the same (if any).. Is it the complacence from the voters on the highest scorer.. or is it the Agni mentor strategy that has backfired on them? Its like, OK they have downplayed the best singer of Prithvi.. so lets eliminate their best female singer and get the best male singer in bottom 4... Perhaps true..
The other thing that I find something different in this show so far is that other than the first elimination episode, more guys are coming in bottom 4 than girls... Is the show trying to give out a message that there is no gender voting here? Sumitra and Priyani being among the topmost hyped contestants just strengthens the speculation further...
Another interesting point analysed is that we have seen enough camera time being invested in the past weeks to cook up the Harshid Arshpreet story... Would Star want to put a full stop to all that investment so soon? I really wonder! Probably, this gives a strong suspision that Arshpreet may come back later as a wild card entry and there will be a selling drama created around that! For Arshpreet to come back on the show, I am ready to take in that drama...
The elimination of a Agni candidate this time was almost sure, as a 3rd elimination in a row would have made the Prithvi story very week... But then, that perhaps makes me think something else... It can so happen that the 'seemingly' less talented Prithvi gets eliminated early and there in comes a twist to the tale.. The final 6 probably get regrouped under these 2 teams and some of them hence get to work under 2 distinct mentoring styles... This is a huge shift and disruption in team dynamics.. the associated drama would be a new selling point... Is Gajji reading this?
