Importance of Performance - Page 2

Unfortunately for public votes ,performance is important to some level..but i wish its not

And all of you were right..The show goes for public voting from next week and they brought up performance thing... I agree with many of you, performance is about connecting with the crowd, and you dont have to run around for that.. emote through the song.. express with your voice... that is what is required... Yes, you need a stage presense I agee, as many of them eventually take up stage shows for a living... but that sgould definitely not come at the cost of off-sur singing!

Yup, Lalit mentioned performance in today's episode after Mirande's "gela gela" song. He said everyone should perform to prove they're fantastic singers and performers.
Well, it depends on the song...😕

I also felt this show was more about singing but possible things may change as public voting starts.

I think music and performance always go hand in hand. I am not talking here about only the musical reality shows on tv but music of the world as whole. If you observe in almost all types of music it is accompanied by performance and in many cases they are inseparable.

We have a number of examples not only in India but all over the world where there is no dance without music and vice versa like Kathak, bharatanatyam,Yakshagana, Bihu, Bhangra, Ballet, folk, Salsa etc etc .

So there is no wrong if you move your body to the beats of the song which enhances the feel of the song.
To a larger extent it eases the pressure on the singer when she/he is performing live on a stage and brings out the best in him/her.

What is your definition of performance? How important is it to win a reality show? And to be successful there-after? Can a non-performing singer survive in today's competitive scenario?

Abhi suro se samjauta shuru!Singing and performance can never go together.Singing is for sure is going to suffer.Why they started this performance crap here?How can somebody can sing and dance😕.I love this show for singing.When you are already famous and established,then you can do whatever you want to do on the stage like sonu and shaan are doing.I dont think that 'samjhdaar' viewers will vote for the performance.

Actually , I think all this is guided by the demographics of the voting crowd... Most of the 'samajhdaar' crowd hardly votes... the one that votes, mostly gets influenced by the looks, presense and all these factors.. and hence the performance thing comes up... Unfortunate, but that is the trend of reality TV and its going to stay!

The MDs asking for performance, has brought down the show. We have seen how ppl sing with performance in other shows. MDs should dance for the singing, not for the jhatkas.
It will bring down the quality of the singing if perf is emphasized.
