My guess as to why they didn't hear Sumitra was her one quality: voice, and a variety in singing. Also, she emotes a song exceedingly well. Probably that is why she did not get listed in any of the judges choice this round.

Like, personally, I don't like Ismeet's voice...it does not have the required depth that one would remember hours after his song is done. His voice is, as best, mediocre, though technically, he sings well.

If you are talking of a variety in her tonal quality that he expressed in 'Hare Rama Hare Krishna', thats one thing.. but if you talk about her variety in choosing songs, I am sorry to say but she has not displayed that so far... Also, her voice seems to loose the edge at the higher notes, so am not too sure about the tonal quality as well!

She is my favorite. Hope she continues to sing well. When a singer sings exceptionally well (and consistently too), just one weak performance is enough to put down the singer. Everyone starts doubting their talent whereas an underdog who slowly improves manages to go ahead.

absolutely !!! that was exactly what happened in the case of nihira and himani ...

here we can only hope that abhilasha remains consistent and performs well throughout ...

sorry but i disagree here😊 in the case of nihira or himani, it was never a thing about a weak performance😛 i feel they never really gave a weak performance, it was just that girls didnt get many votes and they were out... performance was not a reason...

Oh absolutely - the voting trend in the countru =y has always been against women.. I was talking in the SRGMP section.. Its just that usually girls vote a lot more than boys... and girls being the emotional creatures that they are, they vote for hot and cute and what not! Boys vote lesser than girls, and call it their ego or whatever, they also vote for boys (most continue to think that a girl should not win in a boy-girl competition).. result Nihiras and Himanis and Aditis and Prajaktas continue to lose... Just hoping that Abhilasha, or some other talented girl here proves it different!

sorry ... i actually meant the part abt the underdog who slowly improves manages to go ahead ... definitely no weak performances here 😊 i think that was what happened with himani who finally managed to get ahead of even nihira who started really strong ... i for one didnt expect himani to last soo long when the final started ... she really surprised me by giving better and better performances ... so much so that towards the end i did feel she sang better than nihira ...
