One thing I must say about the judging!

This is not an sms poll here the judges who are the gurus of the music industry are judging this show, which is awesome.

They disagree with each other at times, but still I can see they judge on pure talent and not favortisim as I have seen in other reality shows!

Yes, its not a SMS voting right now... And as we read in an article, in future rounds too we might have 50-50 weightage for SMS and Judges scores - that is yet to be confirmed... As for judges, I would say each of them have such varied opinions about the contestants😕😆 They rarely seem to agree - and at times there has been favoritism too - sumitra ayer for example getting 10 points by abhijeet... Its hard to say anything about their judgement coz it is so varied - if one gives 6, another gives 10...

What has been an improvement is that lately the judges are sharing some constructive comments and technical guidance to the contestants and am sure that is going to help them a lot... Yes, more sanity and calmness from them will be more welcome 😊 But, as of now - I think they have done well in getting together a talented bunch of singers and selecting them for the finals (a few unlucky ones were a victim of the incorrect format)... Looking fwd to a more balanced judgement from them, without creating an unnecessary tension!

Yeah I think so too and the judges doing their drama in front of the contestants is bad also, it hurts the contestants ego I think, I think as professional they should at least calm down and not fight between themselves. Not good for the contestants at all!

you know in a way i feel that alka's going out might actually do more good than we think ...
i read some posts which mentioned male judges being more inclined towards female contestants and vice versa ... i kind of second that and felt that if alka goes out all male contestants will be in trouble ...
but now i feel that might not be the case as there will be all male judges now and it will be too obvious if they favor the female contestants alone ...

so looking forward to better judging and more constructive comments/criticisms
i also hope to hear comments from all judges on the marks they have given and not only from the ones who gave the lowest or highest
no addl. marks for choosing a tough song, 'dil ko chooa' song, nice voice quality etc etc

hmmm judges sometimes put someone on a very high pedestal setting them up for a fall or are justifiably harsh to some, and then there is the usual nautanki while commenting

but most of the times I have seen them being fair to talent, which in this day and age is rare

So far their selections have been good,..the proof of the pudding is in the eating...i became bit sceptical about arvind and sumithra from group A..since then i have learnt that sumithra is a hridyanath mangeshkar singing contest winner..so she has depth in her singing, hope she chooses her songs well in future..arvind sang all 3 songs given to him well...

some contestants have been left behind..but which singer should be replaced for them....

True and I think that is a key take-away for us the viewers.. all the nautanki that you pointed out is something that we can filter out without consuming!

Still think that Aravind is not of the callibre of the other selected contestants (may be Sumitra as well)... I would want to see Sanchari and Sayantani anyday in the final lineup😳
