All are tensed and hoping that the baby and amita are fine. Amit goes to the doctor's office to talk to Doctor Saroj who appears to have stepped out of the OT, but to his surprise, the door to the doctor's office is locked. Thinking that she is not there, he turns back to go back to the hospital waiting room when he hears the doctor speaking to someone in a low voice. He peers through the frosted glass, but is only able to make out a shadowy figure. It appears that Dr. Saroj is talking on the phone. Amit can hear only one side of the conversation, Even though he is not wanting to eavesdrop, he cannot help listening, and what the doctor is saying makes his hair stand on end. The doctor says, "yes, I know you gave me lots of money, and yes, I tried right from the beginning to have her abort this baby."..."But it is not my fault. You know how stubborn that girl is ...she continued with the pregnancy." "Arre baba, hamari majburi bhi to samajhne ki koshish kijiye..."I also gave some pills to her saying they were vitamins so that she would miscarry the baby, but it may be that she forgot to take them..."

Suddenly there is a movement, and some nurses are passing by the corridor. Amit comes back to himself, sort of shaken up by hearing this conversation. Who was Dr. Saroj talking about? Was it Amita? If it was not Amita, who life was this unscrupulous doctor putting in jeopardy? Thinking thus, Amit slowly paced the corridors. Then, all of a sudden...
