Vickey Lalwani Ekta Kapoor is livid with Ali Merchant, who played Bharat Agarwal in Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, for quitting the show halfway and signing Amber Dhara (to play Akshat in the show), without informing the production house. Ekta has decided to slap a legal notice on Ali for violating the contract. An insider from Balaji tells us, "When you are under a contract with Balaji Telefilms and if your track has ended, it doesn't mean that you are out of the production house. Ekta is very upset that Ali quit Balaji mid-way, without informing her, thus violating his contract. This is not done, it's highly unethical and unprofessional! They cannot violate the contract. Now, Ekta is all set to send a legal notice to Ali." When contacted, Ali admits that his contract with Balaji is not yet over. "But my track got over, long ago. I was doing nothing and neither was I being paid for the days I was not shooting. So I decided to quit Balaji. I have signed not only Amber Dhara but also a new BAG Films show," he adds. However, Ali further says that there is no question of any legal notice coming. "I am not as big as Rajeev Khandelwal or Ronit Roy. I am a smaller actor. So why would any legal notice come to me?" he says. My track got over, long ago. BUT A CONTRACT IS CONTRACT.. IF U THINK THAT EKTA IS DOING SOMETHING BAD BY SENDING A NOTICE..

😆..i agree the character seems to be jinxed😆..

but i side with ali in this case...if he is binded by the contract..den rightfully he should be paid for the days he is sitting idle...or else let him find sum other show where he can earn...everyone needs money to survive esp in a city like mumbai...u can' t accept an actor esp a struggling actor to wait near the phone without being paid and wait endlessly for Ms. ekta's call for the next shoot

that women is taking undue adavntages of her position in the industry..its high time labour laws r introduced in these industries😕
