Amber Dhara's protagonists' real identity is finally out, as the two girls were absolutely fed up of living in confinement for eight months

No one seems to know the real identities of the protagonists in Sony's recently launched soap Amber Dhara were not shown on screen. Apparently, Sony wanted to conceal their identity like it did in case of Mona Singh in Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin.

But, the secret is out now.

Amber is played by Kashmira Irani, who is from Pune, while Delhi-based Shaguna Panigrahi plays Dhara.

The decision to reveal their identity seems to have come from the fact that Kashmira and Shaguna were feeling terribly claustrophobic. Since the past eight months, the two of them have been tucked by Sony in a flat in Malad (near Marve beach) and even given a security guard.

Says a source, "Sony and the two girls had a long meeting, few days back. They came to an agreement that enough is enough. The serial had already generated sufficient curiosity and they could let the girls go free. Mona Singh could tolerate so much secrecy, but every girl cannot do so."

After the promos of Amber Dhara went on air, Kashmira and Shaguna have also been subjected to people from their building coming up to them and ringing their doorbell at odd hours. "Its fun, but it is scary at times too. Some people have even come up and said that the property rates of the building are increasing after the promos went on-air," says Shaguna.

Amber Dhara also stars Shweta Gulati, Mona Ambegaonkar, Paintal, Nasir, Harshad Chopra and Pankaj Berry.

OK...what was the point of concealing their identity anyways?!
i mean w/ jassi it was understandable cause it would give her real look away..but here it wasnt needed..weird
