Pathetic version of Aladin

Aladin is one of my favorite story from Alif Laila/Arabian Niights. I usually like all versions of Aladin. So had big hope for this one too as Aladin always make me smile and SAB TV is all about "Smile".
But sad to say that this version of Aladin made me feel pathetic.
The first reason is the lead of this serial. I saw him in historical shows and he was alright...I'd not say OK. Just alright for those shows.
But he is extremely terrible in comedies. 1SRK is enough as long as SRK is alive and working. Another copy of SRK is not needed. Sp itne poor SRK. Moreover you can't be an actor by copying every act of some other actor. It is easy to work in normal serials but how great the actor is comes when he/s works to make people laugh. he in this case is a failure. So I find him horrible in a comedy.🤢

Next comes the parents. This show is about Aladin...but 2/3of the story runs on the love story of the parents. Which is absolutely not entertaining. Both keeps crying or yelling...more like wasting time.

Aladin has no mission ...just save papa or moma. More like a side character. I saw old serials ( english / cartoons/ etc) where Aladin worked as a Super Hero. Those were based on ALadin and Jeenu ...with Yasmin/Jasmin . Those were funny, cute and entertaining.

But this Aladin is really frustrating. Aladin looks more like a side character than a lead and his parents look more like the hero-heroin in this serial. Never thought I will say this ...but not enjoying this version of Aladin at all. Will Aladin grow up and bring some other lively actor or this will keep going this way...lifeless, jivan se hara hua Aladin!!!!!😭

What is the use of Aladin's lamp ? Uparse Jeenu is an idiot and powerless!

In my opinion Siddhart Nigam is doing fine as Aladdin 👏. "Y-y-yasmine" is in the script that's why he has to say it. You have to act according to the script. And Cvs are stretching Aladdin's parents story I agree. But I like this version of Aladdin❤️

Blame the cvs of the story for potraying Aladdin like this. Siddharth is just doing his job. He is said to copy srk. Opinions differ. I like this version of Aladdin also. I saw previous versions of aladdin. This story is diff and I like it

I partly agree with u but not about Siddharth Nigam. He is a talented lad n the fact that he was the only saving grace of a movie that had Aamir Khan in it along with being a part of one of the most popular movie franchises in BW says a lot. Even when he did Mahakhumb audience enjoyed only his track n even though they roped in GR a popular actor viewers ended up comparing him with Sid. Same happened with CAS where he played Asoka. Audience preferred Sid over Mohit Raina who was again a popular actor. If Sid was mediocre like ur saying, y did the critics applaud his performance in D3, MK and CAS? Also the kind of stunts he performs very few TV or even movie actors can perform.

Coming to Aladdin I was excited to watch it, firstly bcoz Aladdin is one of my all time fav stories and second for Sid. If the execution is sloppy its not Sid's fault. His chemistry with Avneet is also good but sadly that's not the crux of the story. This whole ammi angle was unnecessary and the genie is a good for nothing joker. Nothing against the actor playing genie. He is good but genie's portrayal is bad. Even Aamir Dalvi playing Jaffar is good but a good star cast can do nothing to save the show if the script is bad. I quit this show within 2 weeks n I catch bits n pieces now n then. Everytime I see it though I am turned off. I wish they had shown Aladdin to be an orphan. Would have been more appealing.

I don't get why this Aladdin is compared with Disney Aladdin on Google reviews and now here? By the way, Disney Aladdin was itself not original. The original Aladdin had heroine name as Badar. Jasmine name was given in Disney version. And Aladdin in 1st movie was weak himself. Don't know about the animated series so won't comment on it. They have to run show for longer so they are not showing Aladdin with much physical strength. Yasmine is physically stronger as she is a trained warrior. May be once Aladdin meets Omar, he may train Aladdin to be physically stronger. Original Arabian Nights version had the princess was nothing but a pretty face whose job was only to be desired by Aladdin and Zafar and then get married to Aladdin. If they show Yasmine like this then many people will not watch the show as it's 21st century where people have other things to watch than a delicate darling princess doing nothing. Chandrakanta original novel had princess doing nothing but both versions of Life Ok and Colors showed her a strong person who are actively fighting against enemies. As for Aladdin, he already has unique resources of gadgets provided by Bulbul Chacha. This guy is bullied all his life by his 3 relatives then how can he be so strong like suprrhero like you want so soon? Still he is smart and brave to fight with all the problems he face. As for parents story, it's needed as that's what the reason of their situation of riches to rags when Omar was framed as a traitor. As for Genie, yes this is only the thing I agree with you. He is still genie in making even after more than 90 episodes of him getting out of the chiraag. Even Zee TV version of Genie was always active but this Genie hardly does anything. His maximum power was shown but for only 1 episode when he killed Aliza which he don't even remember. Hope makers improve Genie and remove Aladdin's 3 idiotic relatives.
