The leap may be used so that they can stick to the six month plan. They don't want to stretch the Vibha courtship and want to start the wedding track. Six months should be enough for the kids to accept Vikram as a father figure in their life, especially since they are already friendly with him.

Earlier we were told about love triangle, what happened to that?

I don't want time to be fast forwarded and we people suddenly seeing ViBha being close with each other. To me, life of the (or any) show is, how they are going to reach there.

I was thinking, Shobha might plan to bring Sarika close to Vikram (presuming Sarika is depressed and Vikram still in love with her), but Vikram realising he is not in love with Sarika anymore (instead, has fallen for the match maker 😆 ).

Also, would Ketan solve the mystery of Sarika's husband's death while trying to help his friend?
