Wonderful, poignant acting by the woman playing 'Sharda'...The show is truly a representation of modern MIL-DIL relationships, which are no more restrained by unbridled, blind love and devotion for the son, no matter how undeserving he may be..I am floored by how passionately Sharda defended Shobha
EK has totally nailed the angst-ridden scene between the mother-son duo...Sharda staunchly standing up for Shobha, and Samarth spitting fire like he owns everything in the world. Loved how Sharda bluntly told Samarth that he is paying for his own sins...If real-life MILs do even a fourth of this and consider their DILs their daughter and not side with their wayward sons, society would more than improve!!
Yes...she is right..what Shobha carried on for almost a decade was a "burden", not a relationship, not a marriage. I feel this would be an eye-opener for thousands of such women living in closets, repressing their emotions, dignity, self-esteem all in the name of marriage.
"Kitne lade-jhagden, hum ek doosre ke liye khade honge," sooo...soo true...Yes, Sharda did for Shobha wat even her own mother couldnt. Speaking of her own mom, where the hell is she???
I didnt like the times Sharda would taunt Shobha, and side by her incorrigible son...but she made up for it, in fact, MORE THAN made up for it...by standing like a rock behind Shobha when she needs it the most. Oh, I cant stop gushing over it!!!
Sonali really, really looked like a stone was pelted at her heart when the divorce papers were thrust in her face. How her heart was wrenched open when she finally inked the papers...i felt it so strongly..so tragic...
Naani is sooo adorable...she is soo not like a Naani...I really like her..she is like a ziddi baccha...Sharda has been shown to be really apologetic and not petty, inviting Naani personally for the wedding..
What I take away from today's episode -
i) Sharda standing like a shield between Samarth-Shobha, screaming her lungs out that its Shobha's house, and that he needs to get the hell out of the same...she looked like an angry tigress, protecting her cub
ii) The heartfelt hug between S-S...soo real...so touching...
What nailed it for me:
Vikram ogling and taadoing Shobha...in a very non-romantic and yet, romantic sense...wondering how strong and effervescent she is...
the "kyunki inke beech mein tum ho" sent daggers into my heart. He is actually proposing for a second chance in love and all, huh? Pretty fast :P
