Hasn't the story line shifted from Rusty trying to take revenge on Sam to her falling in love with Sam.

I liked the first script more .

I hoped Rusty would take revenge & meanwhile slowly falling in love with him. And at the last minute is unable to destroy Sam.

They simply added the brain tumor twist.

In fact we didn't we didn't get to see any episodes of revenge taking....I think none....am I wrong?

Thats exactly my point. Infact from day one of marriage she started being caring for the family.

Here in US we still see the old promo where "rusty says now tum na mere rahoge na kissi aur ke"

I had hoped the story line to be "revenge like ". It would then be more interesting.
