Maybe their half family is hindu! Nilu for example, she wears sari all the time where others where salwar kameez! Some jatt sikhs also go to mandir and do puja. I am jatt sikh, my parents also go to mandir and sometime do puja!

Hi guys! I understand your confusion, but I have very close family friends who are also Sikh (Sardar). They go to the Gurudwara of course, but they also believe a lot in Mata, and so they do jaagrans and go to the mandir etc. But the reason that Sikhs going to the mandir is not so shocking is that they were essentially Hindus, before Guru Nanakji. That's why Hindus and Sikhs are closely related and will go to the mandir and/or gurudwara. I hope this helps! :)

ur too funny usachick821.

and i do understand what ur saying shalonia, but i mean in a punjabi show, shouldn't they represent the punjabi sikh jatt culture, instead of infusing it with the hindu culture, inorder to aviod misunderstandings to people who don't know about the sikh culture. i agree that there are punjabi's who still believe in some of the hindu religious aspects, but, i dont think they should show that in a show, atleast not at this time.
