HE stood up for the rights of the downtrodden on Siddhant, Pawan Shankar's altrusim is spilling over into real life. He's actively involved with a charitable institution called Hum Awaaz which works with victims of natural calamities. At a concert organised to raise funds last week, they felicitated him for his outstanding work on the show. Anchored by Shruti Ulfat and Raju Srivastava, the other guests included Mihir Mishra Maninee De, Nandita Puri, Mangal Dhillon and Mouli Ganguly. Shankar's currently also playing the lead in Aisa Des Hai Mera.
