CHAPTER - 15

[ FEW MONTHS LATER ]

Muskaan was now given training of going to school.Ananya taught her to utter her name properly.Ananya said,"Ab to Muskaan ke school par jaane ka time ho gaya hai.Par isse pehle mamma Muskaan ko bohot saari cheeze sikhaayegi jisse school mein jaakar Muskaan ko koi problem na ho.Isiliye sabse pehle Muskaan ko apna pura naam bolna sikhna parega."Muskaan asked,"Mu???"Ananya nodded her head and replied,"Mu nehi.Mu mamma aur papa ko samajhme aata hai,baaki kisiko samajhme nehi aayega.Bolo Muskaan...Bolo."Muskaan uttered,"Mu...kkan!"Ananya said,"Nehi Muskaan.Pehle bolo Mus... Bolo."Muskaan uttered,"Much!"Ananya said,"Ab bolo Kaan'...Bolo."Muskaan said,"Kaan."Ananya said,"Very good ab bolo Muskaan."Muskaan said,"Mukkan!"Ananya tried and tried and finally Muskaan uttered,"Muchkaan!"Ananya kissed on her forehead,"Very good!"After that Ananya taught her to utter her full name.After a long time,Ananya asked,"To Muskaan ka pura naam kya hai?"Muskaan replied,"Muchkaan Akach Chauja!"Ananya clapped and then gave her a chocolate and said,"Aaj Muskaan ne apna pura naam bola uske liye mamma ke taraf se ye gift.Aaj ke liye itna hi kaafi hai,phir baad mein dheere dheere mamma sab seekha degi."Muskaan giggled out.

In the dining table,Akash came to have his dinner and Ananya gave Muskaan her bowl of food.Ananya taught her how to eat food though the spoon.Akash asked,"Ye kya seekha rahi ho isko?"Ananya replied,"Khudse khaana khaana."Akash said,"Abhi vo in sab ke liye bohot choti hai Ananya itna bhi bari mat hone do usko."Ananya replied,"Main jaanti hu Akash,par jab vo school jaana shuru karegi tab kya?School mein usey koi khilaakar nehi dega,isiliye main usko seekha rahi hu abhi se aur rahi baat ghar ki,to main usko ghar mein hamesha apne haatho se khilaaungi aur phir aaj to Muskaan ne ek nayi cheez seekhi hai."She asked Muskaan,"Muskaan tumhaara pura naam papa ko bolo?"Muskaan uttered,"Muchkaan...Akach...Chauja!"Akash appreciated her and said,"Arey vaah Muskaan ne apna pura naam bol diya.Very good!"Muskaan clapped for herself.

Slowly Ananya taught everything to Muskaan and she too learnt them fast,but still Ananya never let Muskaan grow up too much,so that her childhood never fades away.Muskaan's admission was done in a pre-school.When they were going for the interview,Ananya told Muskaan that if she behaves there politely and answers all the questions then she will be given a number of chocolates.On the day of her interview,the teacher asked Muskaan,"Beta aapka naam kya hai?"She replied,"Muchkaan...Akach...Chauja!"The teacher asked,"Aapke papa ka naam kya hai?"She replied,"Akach...Chauja!"The teacher asked,"Aur mummy ka naam?"Muskaan always ahad a trouble uttering Ananya's name.She said,"An..nya...Annya Akach Chauja!"The teacher said,"Pronounciation mein thori si problem hai but don't worry hum yaha usey sab seekha denge.Aap kal se usey yaha bhej dijiyega."They took leave and while returning Akash said to Ananya,"Kal se Muskaan school aayegi,to chalo ek kaam karte hai,uske liye kuch naye kapre kharid lete hai."He patted on Muskaan's cheek and said,"Puraane kapre pehenkar Muskaan thore hi school jaayegi.Uske liye mamma papa neye kapre kharidenge."Muskaan said,"Kappe(kapre)!Chopin(Shopping)!"Ananya agreed and they all went for shopping.

In the kid's store,while Ananya and Akash were choosing Muskaan's dresses,slowly their sweet talks turned into fighting.While they were busy fighting,Muskaan each time turns her head once towards Ananya and on the next second towards Akash.Ananya replied,"Tumse zyaada double time main uske saath bitaati hu.Main jaanti hu uspar kaunsa colour zyaada suit karega."Akash replied,"Tum ma hui to main bhi uska baap hu.Main bhi jaanta hu."Ananya grinned,"Jushshut up Akash!Muskaan vohi kapre pehnegi jo main uske liye kharidungi."Akash said,"You shut up!Hamesha har baat maan maan kar na tumhaari aadat kharaab kardi hai maine."Ananya asked,"Kehna kya chahte ho tum hamesha tumhi meri har baat maante ho main tumhaari koi baat nehi maanti?"Akash replied,"Exactly you are right!"Muskaan was tired moving her head on both the direction.She was so angry at her parents that she puched on the table and yelled,"Mamma papa aaap!"Both became quiet and felt very embarrassed when they found that everyone was staring at them.Akash said,"Ek kaam karte hai jiske kapre hai usise puchte hai."Ananya agreed,"Very good idea!Muskaan beta bolo zara kaunsa dress tumhe pasand hai,akru aur buddhdhu papa ki ya phir achchi mamma ki?"Muskaan replied,"Mamma aththi!Papa aththe!"Akash said,"Ha main jaanta hu papa bohot achche hai par mamma bohot akru hai.Achcha ab tum choose karo."Ananya and Akash both tried to bias Muskaan to their own side and Muskaan helplessly looked at them and confusingly at the dresses.At last,when Akash found that Muskaan was getting more biased towards Ananya,he secretly took out some chocolates from his pocket and called Muskaan.He was standing behind Ananya and he waved those chocolates at Muskaan from Ananya's back.Muskaan's eyes glittered with greed and Ananya noticed them.When she turned back,Akash already hid them,so she couldn't understand anything.On getting bribed with the chocolates,Muskaan,without any confusion said,"Papa kappe!"Akash exclaimed,"Yesss!"and then gave a flying kiss to her.He said,"Dekha Muskaan ko bhi samajhme aa gaya ke meri choice kitni achchi hai."Ananya grinned looking at Muskaan,"Papa ki chamchi!Huh!"Muskaan selected all the dress which Akash chose for her.So,after reaching home,Akash gave her all the chocolates.

Next day,Ananya made Muskaan get ready for her school.She made her tiffin and put that inside her bag and hung the water bottle around her neck.When Akash and Ananya reached school with Muskaan,they came out and found the teacher standing at the door and welcoming the kids.Ananya held Muskaan's hand and they both walked towards the school.The teacher said,"Hello beta aao andar chalo aur mamma ko bye bolo."Muskaan became confused.She turned towards Ananya and asked,"Mamma tata???"Muskaan moved away from the teacher and grabbed Ananya's hand tightly and said,"Mamma tata na!Muchkaan mamma!"Ananya said,"Beta mamma ne tumhe samjhaaya tha na ke school mein good girl bankar rehna jaao,teacher tumhe bula rahi hai."Muskaan folded her lips and started weeping,"Na mamma na!Ganni tati,ganne tata.Muchkaan...!"Ananya understood her fear that Muskaan thought going away from Ananya meant Anuj and Sunita will again torture her.Ananya picked her up in her arms and said,"Beta mamma se tumhe koi alag nehi karega.Jaise tum paas ke aunty ke ghar jaati ho na khelne,thik vaise hi yaha bhi tumhaare bohot saare dost hai jo tumhaare saath khelenge.Tum unke saath khelkar ghar waapas aa jaana.Mamma yehi bethi rahegi."Ananya kissed on her cheek and said,"Muskaan mamma ki rani pari hai na,to mamma ki baat maanegi aur tumhe pata hai yaha bohot saare chocolate bhi milenge.Thik hai?Chalo jaao."Ananya put Muskaan down and waved her hands.Muskaan too bidding her bye went inside with a teacher.Ananya said to the other teacher,"Mam vo Muskaan aajtak mere bina rahi nehi hai,to please..."The teacher said,"Don't worry Mrs Saluja Muskaan will be fine."Saying all the teachers left inside but Ananya stayed outside until her school ended.For 2-3 days,Muskaan used to cry before going to school and so Ananya used to stay outside for the whole time,but after a few days,Muskaan stopped crying and started enjoying her school and so Ananya too returned home after dropping her to school.

[ 3 YEARS LATER ]

Time went on and slowly 3 years passed by.Muskaan was now 6 years old.As Muskaan grew up,Ananya and Akashs love for her also grew more and more.They were really very very happy in their life,but their happiness didn't run long when suddenly Ananya fall ill.One morning,Ananya was lying down in her bed,when suddenly she heard as if someone put a tray beside her.Ananya opened her eyes and found Muskaan standing in front of her.Ananya asked,"Kya hua beta kuch chahiye?"Muskaan replied,"Mamma main aapke liye soup banaakar le aayi."Ananya asked,"Soup?"Just at that moment,Akash came out of the washroom and on seeing the soup,he asked,"Soup kiske liye?"Muskaan replied,"Mamma ke liye maine banaya hai papa.Jab mujhe ulti hoti thi ya tabiyat kharaab hoti thi to mamma mere liye soup banaati hai na to maine bhi banaya."Akash asked,"Aur tumne ye seekha kaise?"Muskaan said,"Mamma se dekh kar."Muskaan went to Akash and said,"Papa mamma bohot bimaar hai,unhe doctor ke paas le chalo na."Ananya said,"Mujhe koi doctor nehi chahiye main thik ho jaaungi."Akash replied,"Don't worry beta maine aaj doctor se appointment le li hai,agar mamma jaana nehi chahegi to hum unhe uthaakar le jaayenge."Muskaan agreed and Akash left for taking his breakfast.

In the evening,Akash and Ananya dropped Muskaan to their neighbor and went to the doctor.On seeing them,the doctor asked Akash,"Mr Saluja aap Mrs Saluja ke pehle waale medical reports laaye hai na?"Akash gave her the reports.The doctor checked the reports and then asked Ananya about her illness and she described it.The doctor took her inside for check-up.After the check-up,the doctor asked,"Aapka miscarriage kitne mahine mein hua tha?"Ananya became sad.Akash replied,"Ji saatve mahine mein."The doctor made a confused face.Akash asked,"Doctor koi ghabraane waali baat to nehi hai na?"The doctor said,"Baat ghabraane ki nehi balki hairaani ki hai."Ananya asked,"Kya matlab?"The doctor replied,"Aapke reports ke mutaabik aap kabhi ma nehi ban sakti hai,par Mrs Saluja...you are pregnant."Akash and Ananya both were shocked.Akash asked,"Ye kaise ho sakta hai?"The doctor replied,"Dekhiye Mr Saluja,insaan ka sharir aur kudrat ek unsolved mystery,kab kaha kaise chamatkaar ho jaaye koi nehi keh sakta.Ab ye sab kaise hua ye to sonography ke baad hi pata chalega but filhaal ke liye khush ho jaaiye ke aap ma banne waali hai."Ananya didn't know how to react,whether she should be happy or confused.After reaching home,Muskaan asked,"Mamma ko kya hua hai papa?Mamma thik to ho jaayegi na?"Akash nodded his head.Next day,in the sonography,they saw the picure of the child.Ananya,who was not ready to believe her pregnancy,wept out of happiness.The doctor confirmed the healthy growth of the baby.On coming out of the hospital,Akash called his and Ananya's parents and shared the good news.Their parents immediately decided to come to them.On reaching home,Akash happily said to Muskaan,"Pata hai mamma Muskaan ke liye ek chota sa bhai ya behen laane waali hai."Muskaan confusingly asked,"Kahase?"Akash replied,"Bhagwaanji ke paas se."Muskaan suddenly became scared and she ran to her mother.She asked,"Mamma aap mere liye chota bhai ya behen la rahi ho?"Ananya nodded her head.Muskaan asked,"To kya aap usko mujhse zyaada pyar karogi?"Ananya made Muskaan sit on the bed and said,"Dekho beta,jab tum bohot choti thi na tab tumhe khudse kuch karna nehi aata tha aur tab mamma tumhaare saare kaam karti thi to jab ye chota baby aayega to usey bhi to khudse kuch karna nehi aayega,to mamma ko to uska khayaal rakhna parega na.Varna vo kaise rahega?"Muskaan gave a thought to it and then said,"Ok par jab baby bara ho jaayega tab aap waapas mujhse hi pyar karna."Ananya agreed.

Ananya and Akash's parents arrived.Everyone were happy for them,especially Ananya and Akash.Ananya cried hugging Mrs Rawat and Mrs Saluja.Mrs Rawat said,"Jab Akash ne phone karke bataaya tha na ke tu ma banne waali hai tab to mujhe to yakeen hi nehi hua.Aisa laga ke ye koi sapna hai."Mrs Saluja said,"Main to matarani ke mandir jaakar sab mein khaana aur kapre baat kar aayi hu.Aakhir bhagwaan ne hamaari sun li.Ye kisi chamatkaar se kam thore hi hai?"Ananya replied,"Chamatkaar bhagwaan ka nehi ma,meri Muskaan ka hai.Uske hamaari zindagi mein hamesha ke liye aate hi,hamaari zindagi mein khushiya bhi aa gayi.Maine kabhi socha bhi nehi tha ke main is zindagi mein ma banne ki vo khushi aur usey janam dene ka vo dard jhel bhi paaungi,par bhagwaan ne pehle meri ma banne ki ichcha ko pura kiya Muskaan ke zariye aur ab meri ye ichcha bhi puri kar di.Sab meri Muskaan ke vajah se hai.Vo lakshmi hai mere ghar ki."Akash came to their room with Muskaan in his arms.He said,"Bilkul sahi.Asli lakshmi to hamaari Muskaan hai.Yehi hamaare hotho par Muskaan le kar aayi hai."Everyone agreed with her.Ananya and Akash both kissed on her cheeks.

Ananya and Akash were all set to welcome the new member of their family.each and every dreams of their was now fulfilled.Muskaan,like her name,in every sense brought smile in their lives and in their lips.Muskaan was never let to know that she was not their real daughter.Ananya and Akash showered all their love to Muskaan and even with the arrival of their own child,there was no scarcity of their love towards her.Muskaan also understood that her parents will never stop loving her even if she had a brother or sister,so her insecurity for the new baby was also gone and she equally prepared for the arrival of her brother or sister.Ananya and Akash's family was complete with Muskaan and the arrival of the new member and they all lived happily ever after.
