CHAPTER - 14

In the morning,Muskaan woke up before Akash,since Akash was working late night.When she found her father still sleeping,she climbed over his chest and punched on his chest calling him,but he was in a deep sleep.She tried a lot even jumped over his chest,but after a light moaning,Akash again slept.At last Muskaan went to Ananya and said,"Mamma papa!"She acted of sleeping.Ananya asked,"Papa abhi tak nehi uthe?"She took Muskaan and returned to her bedroom and found Akash sleeping like a dog.She then brought a glass of water and emptied it over him and Akash jumped up on the bed screaming,"Kya hua?Kya hua?Muskaan thik to hai na?"Muskaan was laughing like anything.Akash's eyes tossed at Ananya and at Muskaan and he asked,"Tumne mujhpar paani kyu pheka?"Ananya replied,"To aur kya karti?Jaakar time dekho."Muskaan said,"Papa opich(office)!Mu buch(brush)!"Akash looked at the time and said,"Oh main to bhul hi gaya!To isiliye mere upar break dance chal raha tha nehi?"Akash got up from the bed and then picked Muskaan up.He went inside the washroom brushed his own teeth and then followed by Muskaan's teeth.After that,he send Muskaan out and prepared to shave off.It is not the first time that Muskaan saw Akash shaving but that day,after shaving,Akash forgot to keep the shaving cream inside the case and left it on the sink.Muskaan,with great difficulty,with the tip of her finger dropped it on the ground and picked it up.She opened the cover and pressed the tube and the cream fall on her hand.She applied the cream on her face and covered her whole face with that.After that,she ran to show it to her parents.She went to the dining hall and called Ananya and Akash and said,"Mamma papa Mu!"She showed the cream over her face.Ananya,on seeing it,screamed,"Muskaan ye kya hai?"She replied,"Papa ceam(cream) papa atthe.Mu aththi?"Akash asked,"Kya boli ye?"Ananya replied,"Ye boli ke papa ye cream lagaate hai to papa bhi achche lagte hai,to isliye usne bhi ye cream lagaya."Akash took a bit of the cream on his finger and smelled it and yelled,"Ye to meri shaving cream hai!Oh shit!Aaj to main apna shaving cream waapas case par rakhna hi bhul gaya."Ananya grinned,"Tum na ekdam...Muskaan beta ye chote bachcho ke liye nehi hai sirf papa ke liye hai."Muskaan asked,"Mu ganni?"Ananya picked her up in her arms and said,"Na beta Muskaan bohot achchi hai par ye jo cream hai vo sirf papa ke liye hai."Muskaan asked,"Mu ceam?"Ananya replied,"Muskaan ki bhi to cream hai na.Mamma Muskaan ko nehlaane ke baad cream laga degi.Thik hai?Abhi chalo mamma Muskaan ka muh saaf kar degi."Saying she took Muskaan away.After some time,someone rang the bell and Akash opened the door and received a courier.On opening the courier,he became very happy.He called Ananya and said,"Dekho Ananya Muskaan ke adoption ke papers aur certificates bhi aa gaye.Ab Muskaan ko humse koi alag nehi karega."Ananya became very happy on hearing it.Suddenly,Akash noticed one thing and said,"Arey ye dekho Muskaan ka birthdate.Iska matlab parso Muskaan ka 3^rd birthday hai."Ananya said,"Meri Muskaan ka birthday!!!Akash hum is baar Muskaan birthday celebrate zarur karenge."Akash nodded his head.At that moment,Muskaan came to Ananya.Ananya picked her up and said,"Pata hai parso Muskaan ka birthday hai."Muskaan said,"Mu badday(birthday)!"Ananya excitedly nodded her head and Muskaan understood that birthday means something very happy will be there.Seeing their excitement,Muskaan too became excited and she ran to her grandparents shouting,"Nanu nani dadu dadi Mu badday!"Ananya and Akash also started planning for Muskaan's birthday.

On the morning of Muskaan's birthday,when she woke up,she found a lots of toys and chocolates on the bed.Her eyes widened on seeing them.She started jumping on the bed and screaming with excitement,"Mamma papa nanu nani dadu dadi!"Everyone came to her room and she took the chocolates and screamed,"Bai toc,bai doll,bai tei(teddy),bae bae(bare bare)!"Ananya said,"Ha bare bare to honge hi aaj yaha Muskaan ka pehla birthday hai na."She picked her up in her arms and said,"Happy birthday Muskaan!"Everyone wished Muskaan and pampered her a lot.Akash always likes to pamper her like a doll or pillow and over-pampering makes her irritated.Muskaan became very angry and yelled,"Mu dolu na!"Ananya said,"Bilkul thik Muskaan ko uski dolu samajhke rakkha hai?Tumhe pata hai na itna over-pampering se usko chir ho jaati hai even mujhe bhi hoti hai.Ajeeb lagta hai mujhe tumhaara ye abnormal pyar dekh kar."Akash said,"Aaj chahe tum kuch bhi kaho par aaj to main Muskaan ko nehi chornewaala."He gave an evil smile to Muskaan and slowly started walking towards her.Muskaan seeing him screamed like anything and ran away.

In the evening,Akash brought Muskaan's cake and balloons and certain other things for decorations.Everyone decorated the house and Akash ordered foods from the hotel for the guests.Ananya put the cake on the table.Muskaan was watching everything what others were doing.As she was sitting idle,she was given her new teddy to play with.While playing with the teddy,her eyes fall on the cake.She walked to the table.She climbed up on the chair and then sat on the table in front of the cake.She was very curious to see the cake.Ananya came and found her staring at the cake.She said,"Ye Muskaan ke liye cake aaya hai.Aaj shaam ko jab guests aayenge na Muskaan ki party par tab Muskaan isey kaategi.Isiliye is cake ko haath mat lagaana abhi."Muskaan,on hearing her name said,"Mu...ca-cak...Mu cak!"Ananya smiled and left from there.Muskaan while staring at the cake bowed down a bit and suddenly she lost her balance and her face dumped on the cake.She screamed,"Mamma!"Akash and Ananya came and saw her in that way.Akash could not control his laugh but Ananya pinched him.Muskaan made a sad face and folded her lips to cry.Akash said,"Arey re re main to isliye has raha tha kyuki Muskaan kitni pretty lag rahi hai.Ek minute!"Akash took out his digital camera and asked Muskaan to give a pose.Ananya said,"Kya kar rahe ho Akash?Is tarah se uski innoscence ka mazaak mat uraao."Akash replied,"Arey Ananya dekho na kitni cute lag rahi hai.Please yehi to uski bachpan ki yaadein banengi na.Jab vo bari ho jaayegi tab kaha ye sab milega."Akash looked at Muskaan and said,"Beta smile dekho papa photo kheechenge na.Kitni khubsurat lag rahi hai meri Muskaan."Muskaan slowly asked,"Mu aththi??"He replied,"Ha ha Muskaan bohot achchi lag rahi hai."On this,Muskaan innocently believed him and smiled with lots of cake on her face and Akash clicked her photo in different postures.

In the evening,Ananya dressed up Muskaan in a pink colour cindrella frock for the party.While Akash was getting ready,Muskaan brought some cake for him and applied it on his face.On seeing that,Ananya burst out into laughter.Muskaan scolded Ananya and said,"Mu papa aththe!"Ananya held her ears and apologized.Muskaan happily left from there.Akash gave a blank look to Ananya and she again laughed out.She said,"Bohot achcha hua.Tumhine mazaak uraaya tha na Muskaan ka ab bhugto."He made a face and went to the washroom.For the party,Akash purchased another cake.In the party,Muskaan instead of cutting the cake with the knife,hit it with her hand and then applied on her parents' face.Both put the cake on Muskaan's face also.In that way they celebrated the birthday party.For her birthday,Muskaan received many gifts but her most favourate gift was a large BUNNY which was given to her by Akash.Every night,Muskaan used to sleep with the bunny and whenever she used to go she used to take her bunny with her.In the morning,first she used to leave the bed and then she pulls the bunny down the bed but since it was heavy,everytime she used dash on the ground while pulling the bunny from the bed.Whenever,Muskaan used to go anywhere,she used to pull the bunny by its ear.Ananya on seeing it said,"Ye lo aa gayi maharani apni sawaari ke saath.Iska vazaan to iske khud se zyaada hai par phir bhi isko sab jagah par lekar jaati hai.Bistar se utaarte waqt bhi har roz girti hai par fir bhi uska kaan kheechkar isko apne saath lekar jaana parega."Muskaan said,"Bun(Bunny) Mu papa!"Ananya said,"Ha ha Muskaan ke papa ne diya hai pata hai."She made her sit on the table and tried to fed her.Muskaan asked to feed the bunny also and Ananya did the same.

Muskaan had a very playful and memorable childhood and slowly she was preapared to be send to school.
