When Akash was explaining to his boss about exchanging the diary in the beginning he was like " if I remember correctly, megha ki diary issi colour ki aur issi size ki thi"
1st: it should've been Mahima and not megha
2nd: how did Akash know exactly how the diary looked like when megha didn't even know how her sister diary looked liked when shefali asked her.

The answer's for your questions...
1 You are right it is Mahimas diary
2 Since it is Mahimas diary and both are agents of DIB they knew each other and their working system very well. Later in the episode Akash even showed where and how everything in the diary is kept.
