Loha, Laali, the gun and the shootout!
In yesterday's episode, we have seen Laali taking a policeman's gun and saying she will return it soon to him.š
We all know that no one is allowed to take a policeman's gun under any circumstances. That is against the law. (But this is a movie, I guess, where the most silly things happen without any reason or logic!)š²š²š²
In today's episode we see Loha and Laali confronting each other with guns.š”
Earlier, Laali has the bride-to-be Rekha removed from the room in which she was waiting to be called to the mandap, to some other room in the house, and then rings Loha up on his cell phone saying she had taken Rekha away and now he (Loha) can't marry her. šš

Loha goes charging upstairs to find out for himself, while the pundit and the guests await with dilemma written on their faces at these unusual goings on.
Loha finds Laali in Rekha's room with a line of clothes dropping out of the window, which at a glance would suggest that Rekha has climbed down the window. š
Laali takes a gun out and points it at Loha. (This is the policeman's gun which Laali is using.) Loha and Laali have a war of words.
Loha's eyes flickers around until it rests on a nearby table which has a gun conveniently sitting on it. Without thinking, Loha picks up the gun, points it at Laali, and tells her that her end is come. š”
He shoots. But to his horror finds that there are no bullets in the gun. Laali then smiles and points her own gun towards her upper arm and shoots herself.
Then she throws the gun towards Loha, who in his surprise catches the gun with his hands. Immediately, some policemen who had arrived at Loha's house earlier to see this unusual marriage proceedings (which they had earlier explained to Ranvijay) are in the room.
Laali tells the policemen that Loha had shot her and the evidence (the gun) was in his hands. Loha is arrested.
Shekhar and others come running into the room. Shekhar is horrified to find Laali dripping in blood, catches her in his arms as she is almost fainting due to loss of blood., and demands to know who has done this.
For the first time in his life, Loha tells the truth, that Laali shot herself, but nobody believes him. Soon, all troop downstairs with Laali almost unconscious in Shekhar's arms. She and the policeman exchange glances, and Laali nods to him. She faints and is taken away to the hospital.
The policeman taunts Loha saying he must be angry about all this, and so he should be. Loha tells the policeman to mind his own business which quickly disintegrates into a screaming match between Loha and the policeman. Loha is told to speak with respect (keep the voice low) while Loha screams at the policeman that he is only a public servant, (and so on and so forth.)
The policeman tells Loha that he should be thankful that the sarpanch, Laali does not want charges to be filed against him, therefore, all charges against him have been dropped.
The policeman (apparently the head honcho) tells Loha that the marriage between him and his former daughter-in-law Rekha cannot take place because he is still not legally divorced from his wife, Sumitra (Kaushalya to some viewers) who has gone on a pilgrimage.šš
(It is not Loha who is lucky in this case, but the policeman. If an enquiry was done, he would have been arrested for giving his gun to Laali. After all, it would be quickly found out that the bullet was fired from the policeman's gun, and not from Loha's gun. Why couldn't Laali have used one of Loha's many guns which appear to be lying all over the place? Usually, when they need it ... it is there, sitting conveniently on the table, or somewhere near at hand!)š”š”
We leave Loha for the day, his eyes slitted in anger at the trick Laali had played on him!! Probably, he is plotting how he is going to take his revenge on her.š”š”
