So what is the doc going to do after he gets out and tries to find Lali?? Do you think he will try to take her back as Shilmya or will he just leave and find some other woman??? I think he will not love Lali anymore now that he knows her history and how she is married to Shekhar with a child. He probably thinks she is cheap!!! Hope not...he is no saint himself...😆😆😆😆....Why can he not believe that it is Lali and not his little Shamyli??? Move on doc and find yourself a new thakurain...😆😆😆😆 any thoughts about the doc....😉😉

Hmm... I don't think doc will think Laali is cheap. He think he will feel sorry for what happened in her life. At least he should. After all Laali was not cheap. What happened to her was beyond her control - her being sold. But she made a choice of staying with Shekhar, not because she is cheap, not because she wants money, BUT because she LOVES Shekhar. So don't ever say Laali is cheap because the impression i get from your remark is that you yourself feel she is cheap.
My apologies if my impression of your thought is wrong.

No I do not think Laali is cheap. I said that because many of the people think that....she is just a mistress according to the haveli people. Why I say that about the doc is because he could not believe that Lali had been intimate with Shekhar when that came out. He kept saying she would never do anything like that. However, he found out different, so perhaps his opinion will be different....who knows...😉😉😉😛

I don't think the doc will hate Lali, on the contrary I think it will be incredibly difficult to accept that she IS in fact Laali, and he will feel as though Loha and his family have brainwashed his Shyamli and blackmailed her or something along those lines, and he will turn negative.

I completely understand where the doc is coming from when he said Shyamli couldn't have slept with Shekhar, because he loves her, and even though they made a deal that they will not truly be husband and wife until they know of her past, she hasn't remembered her past in so long he feels it is never going to come back to her. Then out of nowhere, he finds out in a very shocking way that his Shyamli remembers her past life, so he can't believe it.

Also, I think he expects that Shyamli will have enough respect for him and his feelings that he expects her to come tell him when she remembers her past. So because she hadn't told him herself, he feels that she is being conned or manipulated.

I commend his character. I really like his character because he is standing by the woman he loves despite everyone else telling him otherwise. He doesn't want to believe anything coming out of anyone else's mouth until he hears it coming from his Shyamli herself. It's so very rare to see a character like him, one who stands by his wife/love religiously that most people who watch hindi soap operas consider characters like his stupid and idiotic when they come along, but really that's how I would expect men in society to behave.

Put it this way, if Shekhar had believed Laali during the baby swap track from the beginning, we would have loved him, instead of yelling at him for not trusting his Laali. It's the love we feel for Shali that makes us want the doc to go away from her life.

Having said that, I think Manav (doc) is really cute and a fantabulous actor and his character should stay in the show, even if he does turn negative, although I would want to see him help Shali get together and get away from the evil quad (loha-ranvijay-jamuni-gangiya)

P.S. the huge analysis of the docs character is totally my opinion, as a psychology student.

I do agree with you on this point. Laali should have told him. But we also must understand that Laali was confused - she had just gained her memory (i don't know how this is in real life but this is a show) and i would think she was trying to come to terms with it - she did want to tell him at first (to be fair with her) but Sumitra had advised her not to and i think she got caught up in the moment - i don't think she wanted to hide from the doc but i think she restrained herself because Sumitra and Doc wants her to be Shamli and she didn't know how to tell them she wants to be Laali. She owes such a great debt of gratitude to Doc but feels that she is letting him down. But as i have said in previous posts, it is a doctor's duty to save lives and that should not be her only reason to stay with doc. I do feel that doc is wrong - he did promise her that he will only consumate the marriage when she recalls her past and, presumably, she does not want to go back to her past life. But if she wants to go back to her past life, no matter how bad it may be, if she wants it, doc has to let her go. It is wrong to say that her life will be miserable and she should leave it. It may be miserable in other people's eyes, but in her heart, she is happy to go through the trials and tribulations because she will be with man she loves and the child that is born of that love. A woman who loves her man to the extent that I think Laali loves Shekhar, will stand by her man, come hail or high water!! Saw how she covered Shekhar, then running off holding his hand- she never let him go. She could have left him behind - because he would have been safe. She would have been able to escape better without Shekhar but she did not let him go - she knew he needed her and because she loves him, she could not leave him behind to fend for himself and feel that she had left him.

@ red bold: I totally agree with you, I guess I forgot to include that in my rant cuz I was so into the issue. PS. I was pointing that out from the doc's POV. Remember, the doc doesn't know of Laali's past, the only part he knows is what has been told in the panchaayat, and he would feel that his Shyamli would come and tell him of his past when she remembers it. It's a completely different story that she didn't have a chance to come to terms with it and tell him yet.

And by the way, it is like that in real life, a lot of times, when people regain their memory in such a way, they fall unconscious and don't wake up for days. Sometimes, they can also go into shock.

@ blue bold: I said the exact same thing in another post. I totally agree with you on this part too.

@ pink bold: I think its a bit premature to say the doc is wrong about not letting her go back to her past life, because he doesn't know the entire truth behind her past yet, as he hasn't gotten a chance to talk to her, therefore I don't think he is wrong, YET. On the contrary I find his reactions perfectly normal (when talking about the real world of course) because would you believe some goonda when he tells you that your wife/husband who has been faithful to you for so long was in bed with another man just a few hours ago? I certainly wouldn't if I were in the doc's place.

I feel the doc is a man of great character, and he is a genuinely good person from his heart. He showed great restraint when Shyamli offered herself to him a few weeks ago, and HE reminded her that he wouldn't consummate with her until they know of her past, even though he loves her so much. It was the love that he felt for his wife (he accepted her as his wife from his heart) that stopped him from violating a term of their marriage. 👏

@ green bold: I totally hear where you're coming from, but the doc wasn't there to see all of that, he was tied up in some hut😆 (did he look hot or what?😉) It is left to be seen how he reacts to 'HIS' Shyamli with another guy who is truly her husband, and how he reacts to it.

I totally would not blame him if he turned negative for a while, I think us in real life would be bitter for a while too.😊

*phew* that was long =)

The doc is being treated unkindly and unfairly in this situation. Do not like what Loha has done to him at all. Loha has also used his daughter and him to get Lali back. I feel sorry for the doc because of all this mess he has become entangled in with Lali. Of course he does care for😆😆😆 and treated Lali well when she was with him. Lali might have had a boring life but she had a good life and status. That is important because people looked at her differently...people judge. In some ways, she would be better off with the doc for the reasons I mentioned. At the haveli there has been too much trauma in her life. 😆😆
