The character's name is Kaushalya not Sumitra as some articles have suggested. According to the Zee TV site her name is Kaushalya not Sumitra. So I don't have to change my user ID :)

KF, you're right.

I also saw some folks calling her Sumitra a lot and just assumed that was the correct name. The Zee site says Kaushalya is the right name for the Thakurain.

so why is it that Loha calls her Sumitra in the serial

I've never heard Loha refer to his wife by her name.

I'm going by the ZEE tv site where she is listed as Kaushalya. The link has the name Sumitra in it even though on the site she is referred to as Kaushalya. Now I'm confused.
