April 21, 2010 (Calcutta Tube): TV actress Ratan Rajput of the TV show Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo fame celebrated her birthday yesterday. However her birthday was not celebrated on the sets as that's how most lead actors do. Reason being, the birthday girl took an off from her shoot and it seems it was a very memorable day of her life.

"Even though my birthday was not planned, the day shaped up wonderful and has turned out to be one of my best birthdays celebrated ever. It started with Ganapati bappa's darshan at Siddhivinayak Temple on the eve ofmy birthday. I went walking naked feet to the temple. I started my journey at night and reached there at 9 in the morning," reveals Ratan.

So were your colleagues of Agle Janam' unaware of your birthday? "Except for my driver, makeup man, hair dresser and our former director, no one knows aboutmy birthday. But today I will be announcing it and will be sharing some sweets with them," she adds.

No cake cutting ceremony? "Yes, of course there was. Actually I went to celebrate my birthday with some ashram kids after returning from Siddhivinayak temple. There were almost 60-70 kids of different age groups and all of them wished me in their sweet voices. I hope I could record that wish. The kids had really made my day and had given me the energy which will last long," says an overwhelmed Laali.

When queried about the gifts she received, Ratan excitedly says, "Meeting the ashram kids was the first gift and the second one being my wish of seeing Mumbai which was also granted that day. Along with my friends I visited Bandra Bandstand and cut a cake once again, enjoying the second half ofmy birthday."
