Colors steady; Zee spurts, STAR Plus sputters

Campaign India Team, 25 November, 2009

Mumbai

Colors held on comfortably to the No. 1 spot with 330 GRPs (TAM, Week 47, HSM, CS4+).

The battle for second place heated up with Zee wresting the No. 2 position with 265 GRPs, ahead of STAR Plus at 255 GRPs.

Both Sony (190 GRPs) and NDTV Imagine (115 GRPs) had steady performances.

SAB was marginally higher than the previous week with 78 GRPs.

Well it is most obvious that Colors will be number 1 for some time now. Now who will be the clear number two? Looking at the performance of Star Plus I doubt they will maintain even number three slot.

yea colors, no need to worry about this channel now😆
but star plus can't be written off this quickly, they are putting in crores to make new shows, and a lot of new shows are launching. like they r copying SRGMP mega challenge and having their own maha muqabala😆

You have a good point but looking back I dont think it is money that gets shows to work. At the end of it the viewers are king and decide which channel will do well.

Let's take Sony.. they spent a lot of money on many wasted shows and it didn't help, but yes it is too early to say Star are done for good. They are just heading in that direction is what I meant.

I am sure you have read many sigs with "Die Star Plus die"😆
