Siddeshwari is shallow and self-centred. She appears to be mentally challenged in some way considering that she can only think of herself, her beauty and her precious jewellery. She was more worried about not having a mirror in the room than not having her husband!. In past episodes, she also very willingly requested Shekhar to go to Laali! of course she teared a bit but that's it - she overcame it fast. The stars predict that Shekhar will bear the heir of the family and the family appears certain that it will not be Siddeshwari. hence Laali is brought into the picture. Can someone enlighten me, is Siddeshwari deinitely unable to bear a child. Could it not be possible that the prediction is right and it is Sid who bears the child?!!
Having seen all this, i certainly do not feel that Sid deserves Shekhar. She is more trouble than a help to Shekhar. I cannot imagine her being able to satisfy Shekhar in other ways like emotional and spiritual support. She is just a prize-wife only in terms of beauty, beyond that there is nothing for a husband to be proud of her. As for Lali, she is a fighter and would give her life for her husband. I admire Lali for what she has sacrificed for Shekhar - these are not acts of a loyal servant or slave - altough i agree there are servants who do such things but have youconsidered why they do it? Only a person who loves someone - be it passionate love or altruistic love - only such a person can make sacrifices for their love. A servant only in terms of monetary gains will not lay their their life down. I strongly feel that Lali does care for Shekhar - that love goes beyond caste or creed, it goes beyond monetary consideration, it goes beyond boundaries. Lali has so much love in her - for her family and for Shekhar - hence the willingness and the capacity to make such sacrifices.
As for Shekhar - i think he is now torn. On the one hand he loves his wife - or at least he thought he loved her. He is now realising when troubles loom - when fate challenges you - you need great emotional support not only from within one's own being but from your supporters - in this case the wife. CAn Sid be his partner in life and crime ? i don't think she has the capacity. But Lali has!!
