I was puzzled like others what Shekhar is going to gift Laali. Was surprised to see the pillow cover flying over Laali's head. The whole scene was nice and touching.

How about you all did u expect the pillow cover to be the gift??

He is taunting her with this gift. He only knows very well taht she ran to meet Ganesia. He is t hinking bec she came back for money which is irritating him. Once he knows the truth he will understand her.

It was a symbolic message, Shekhar reminded Laali of her true husband but if you may recollect when Daima was burning laali's things, the pillow cover had landed on shekhar's feet...signifying he is now Ganeshiya...though shekhar wanted to signify something else, it also signifies that since Shekhar is now Ganesiya, he gifted himself to Laali, albeit unwillingly...😛

I agree more with K_sarala that he is taunting her as he thinks she came back for money.

Though the interesting thing to note is that he saved that pillow cover. Why? It might have landed on his feet. He may not have had the heart to throw it back in the fire. But he could have just walked away. He instead took it and kept it safe with himself. Kyun? Why did he want to keep that piece of Lali's life with himself to now be used to taunt Lali in this way.

I however, don't see Shekhar as Ganesiya in Lali's life. I don't think that was the symbolism in the scn when the pillow cover came flying to his feet. Voh kuch aur hi tha.
