Short Update:
Laali escapes from the brothel but Bali tells her that the Thakur won't let Shekhar live if she doesn't return to the Haveli. Laali manages to leave but questions herself about what to do. She finally decides to go back to the haveli.
Detailed Update:
Yesterday:
Sanichari helps Laali out of the brothel. Bali's men are also after Laali. On one side of the wall are Bali and his men. On the other side are Sanichari and Laali. There are two holes in the wall through which Bali spots Laali.
Today:
Bali has spotted Laali through the tiny dark hole in the wall. Distressed Laali looks at Sanichari. Sanichari looks back. The silence is broken as a huge manly hand comes through the wall followed by, "Oi Laaliya." Of course, this is Bali. Both girls scream slightly and run in the opposite direction. Bali and his men follow them. Sanichari and Laali walk into this light blue corridor. Sanichari turns back and locks the door behind them. Sanichari quickly turns round and says, "Go Laaliya, from here." Laaliya questions, "How can I leave without you?" Sanichari adds, "Arre, don't worry about me. Just go from here." Laaliya desperately tries to convince Sanichari to go but Sanicahri explains in a rush that there is no place for people like her in this world. All the roads for her [Sanichari] are closed. Sanichari begs Laali to go and tells her that her roads are open. Bali, Daali and company have now made it too the door. Sanichari panicking starts shouting, "Go, go from here!" Laali makes a run for it. Sanichari holds the door tightly but Laali stops half way to turn round and look at Sanichari. Sanichari is trying her best to hold the door closed even though Bali is making it tough for her. The door has glass windows in it through which Daali's and Bali's face can be seen. Laali continues to hopefully look at Sanichari probably looking for a chance to drag her friend away from the door. Bali, Daali and co are pushing the door and Sanichari is pulling, almost like a tug of war. Daali is trying to break the glass with her fist. Her face furious and her teeth showing in anger. Laali is frozen there. Laali eventually decides to run. Bali sees her running and shouts, Ehhh Laaaaaliyaaaa, stoppp!" Laali makes it to the other side of the room which has a solid dark wooden door. It is locked. Laali can't open it. Bali and company finally pull the door inwards, dragging Sanichari with the doors. Sanichari lands straight on Bali and grips him tightly, trying to stop him from entering the room. Bali seizes the opportunity and pushes Sanichari out of the way. He enters the blue corridor and looks at the end of it where he sees Laali desperately trying to break the door lock. Sanichari sees Bali is creeping in closer to Laali. She quickly gets up and runs right down into the middle of the corridor and blocks the path. Bali, Daali and co stop but for a good reason. Sanichari is holding a long metal bar in her hand which she found on the side of the corridor. Sanichari is looking very angry. Her eyes fuming with fury. [I personally wouldn't mess with her at the moment] Laali sees she is running out of time. On the floor she finds a rock and starts beating the lock with it. The metal rod Sanichari is holding is pointed at the end. She says, "Don't dare move forwards or I will poke this into you." Laali sees her attempts are being wasted. She gets a bigger rock and starts beating the lock once again. Sanichari who is talking to Bali adds, "I am disgusted. You want to do the same thing with laaliya as you did with me?!! I won't let this happen." Bali commands, "Stop being stupid. Hand over Laaliya to me." Daali asks Bali, "Why don't you leave the girl alone?" Bali furiously says, "She has escaped from the Thakur's Haveli!" Sanichari is shocked hearing this. Daali says, "So what? I will pay you more for her.." Laali has managed to open the lock. She opens the door and is just about to leave when Bali says, "Oi Laaliya wait! I know you are carrying the Thakur's grandson and I won't let you run on any expense. Stop now!!" Laali actually has stopped. She turns around. Her desperation to run has vanished from her face. She says, "Child? This is not true.." Bali continues to stare perplexed. Sanichari who is looking at Laali says to her to run away but Bali grabs the metal rod she is holding and chucks her onto a sofa on the side of the corridor. Laaliya screams, "Sanichari!" At that very moment all the other female workers of the brothel come marching in apparently all teamed up to fight the evil that has kept them there for many years. All the female workers capture Bali, Daali and company. Bali's men are being beaten up. Laaliya has tears in her eyes. Sanichari asks Laali to leave as Laali stands there watching. Bali shouts, "Oi Laaliya you are making a big mistake. The Thakur will get you eventually. He knows you are carrying his waaris." Laali looks disturbed. She holds her saree and wonders in thought, shaking a little in disbelief. She shouts, "I haven't run with anyone's waaris." Bali replies, "Don't lie Laaliya! The Thakur sent his younger son to you for this very job and this very job has made his younger son's life hell." Laali explains that she isn't carrying the waaris because that man [Shekhar] hasn't even touched me. Bali questions, "Then why didn't Shekhar Babu say this? If he wanted to he couldn't have rejected you and asked for another girl. If he wanted he could have cut you into bits and thrown you into the river. What reason does Shekhar Babu have to say that you are carrying Loha Singh's waaris? Listen, if you don't go back then Loha Singh won't leave Shekhar Babu alive. He will kill Shekhar Babu alive." Laali is breathing heavily. She is standing there in astonished. The brothel workers who had held Bali in place were frozen listening to Laali's story. Bali notices that all of them aren't concentrating and pulls himself free, heading straight for Laali. However, Sanichari picks up a huge piece of wood and wacks it on the backside of Bali's head. Bali falls to the floor. Sanichari runs to Laali and explains that she doesn't have time and must leave immediately. Daali shouts, Oi wait! Where are you going?" However, the female brothel workers who have finally woken up strain Daali back who is shouting and screaming. Sanichari makes one final attempt and says, "Just go!" Laali turns her back and is just about to leave...but she doesn't Instead, she turns back to face Daali and walks towards her. Laali says to Daali, "You told me everyone person has to repay their debt in some shape or form." She unwraps the money Nanku had given her from her saree and hands it over to Daali closing her hands to makes a tight fist around the money. Laali adds, "You have done me a huge favour bringing me here. Least I could meet my best friend." Laali walks to Sanichari and embraces her hands around Sanichari's face. Laali asks if they will be able to meet again. Sanichari who is tearful says that she doesn't know when they will meet next and in what circumstances. "Whatever the circumstances, we will remain friends forever right?" Laali asks. Sanichari whilst nodding her head says, "Haan. Laali be careful where you take your steps in the outside world. Fight every storm that comes your way. Now go, just go.." Sanichari is very emotional now. Laali says, "Yes I am going now. Don't forget me." Both girls are very sad. Laali finally runs away.
Outside:
Laali is walking on some random path in a place which seems in the middle of nowhere. There are some random trees here and there. Laali is thinking about what Bali said then remembering how Shekhar said he won't do anything with Laali. She thinks about what Bali said and also why Shekhar said that she [Laali] is carrying the Thakur's waaris.
At the Haveli:
The Thakur is talking to Bali on his mobile who has a bandage wrapped around his head. The Thakur says [for the millionth time], "I want that girl. Will you take 6 months for such a small job? Listen, I had given you a deadline for till the evening. It is almost evening now.." Bali explains that he is confident he will find the girl but needs more time. Bali also adds he is regretting about how long it is taking to get Laali. The Thakur replies, "Stop regretting. If you can't find the girl then one thing I understand is start hitting the girl's family one by one." The Thakurian had been listening to the Thakur at the door of the room. She was holding the pooja thali which she drops as she hears Loha Singh explain that he wants Laali's family beaten up. The Thakur immediately turns his head round as he hears the pooja thali crashing to the ground. The Thakurian looks down in fear. The Thakur ignores her and continues talking to Bali, threatening him to hurry up with the job. The Thakurian bends down to the floor to get the Thali. As she does this Shekhar appears. He asks, "What happened?" The Thakurian asks him to leave and it isn't important for him to stay there. Shekhar is just about to go when he hears his father saying, "Capture all of her family one by one.." Bali explains he can't do this. The Thakur asks, "Bali are you wearing bangles in your hands? If not hire someone to do the job. You did a deal with me, didn't you? I haven't got what you sold me. Just remember I won't let go of this deal." Shekhar asks his mother, "Why were you hiding all of this?" The Thakurian doesn't reply. The Thakur asks Bali to keep to his words and ends the conversation. The Thakur walks to the door where the Thakurian is standing and also finds [surprise surprise] Shekhar there [mother like son]. The Thakur asks the Thakurian, "Why the long face? The Thakurs only believe in two things. One, land. Two growth of family even if some low caste blood has to be used. Hari Om." The Thakur leaves. Following the Thakur's departure, the Thakurian also leaves.
Outside on some random path:
Laali is still walking without a destination. She asks herself "where will I go? No Place to stay..." She is sobbing on a broken pillar. Laali looks up to see the clouds have darkened. All of a sudden it becomes very windy. Laali runs to look for shelter. Laali finds a small hut like structure under which she goes and sits. She finds in the corner a broken matli [broken mud pot]. She drinks the water inside and washes her face with the water. Next to the matli is a door. Inside Laali sees Devi maa's statue embedded in the wall. She walks towards it and sits in front of it. Laali asks, "What is this Mata Rani. You meet me everywhere. Then why don't you help me? I don't understand my path. What shall I do? Where shall I go?" An elderly woman in a white saree approaches the door step. She says, "If you want answers for your questions then close your eyes. Don't look back, look front. The direction of life can be found by looking forwards. Look towards Mata Rani and close your eyes. Now ask your inner self the questions to which you are seeking answers." Laali questions, "Where will I go? Shall I go to make life or to save life?" She is very tearful.
Tomorrow:
Shekhar tells the Thakur that Laali isn't carrying the waaris. At this very point Laali returns to the Haveli and enters the room where Shekhar is talking to the Thakur. She says that this Haveli has spent 90000 rupees on me so I will stay with this Haveli from now on.
My review:
7/10: The whole episode could have been cut short. For basically escaping the brothel a whole episode was used. Personally this could have been done in half the time. I am rather looking forward to tomorrow's episode where the Thakur gets his prize.
