Is Laali cleansed???

I'm confused, when Laali was taken from her village wasn't a ceremony done to cleanse her and remove her from the lower caste? Why is she so hesitant now and why is she saying she cannot do pooja? Also, since she was cleansed and not allowed to even touch her family when she left her village, doesn't this mean that if Ganesiya (sp?) enters the story Laali won't be able to be his wife? Please help me guys I'm really confused...THANKS 😊 .

well I don't think she knows that she was cleansed. I think she thought this was just an another ritual.
and even if she does know, I guess she considers herself to be lower caste, since Thakurs are very big people, and she can't reach their status.

and about the story, we have no idea what is going to happen 😆

If only the process of cleansing can change our caste. So now all the lower caste can undergo this ritual cleansing and move into ksatriya, brahmana class.
