Recap: Laali tried to meet Phulmati at the Mandir but Bali and his men captured her and her husband. Laali left without meeting her...
Today's episode:
In Laali's room
Episode starts with Laali putting sindoor on. Laali's younger sister comes and asks Laali to put on the red sindoor as now her Gauna is going to take place. Laali explains that her husband will put the red coloured sindoor on her. Some of the village girls walk into the room where Laali is getting ready. Laali has worn her saree wrong and asks her younger sister to see where Phulmati is to help her with her saree.
In a dark room..
Phulmati and her husband have been tied up in a dark room and Phulmati is trying to break free by rotating on the floor.
Back at Laali's house, Laali asks Basanti to help woth her saree. Before Basanti helps Laali, Majri walks into the room. Laali's younger sister says, "Mai has come, she will help you where the saree." Laali smiles at her mother who looks back in thought and tension. Majri helps with the saree. Laali smiles as her mum helps with her red, golden saree. Majri looks at her daughter and remembers when Laali was feeding her mum some rice. Then Majri remembers when Laali ripped a bit of cloth from her dress to tie it around her mother's bleeding wound. She gets out a few coins and circulates them around Laali's face to prevent her from getting a nazar.
Laali's younger starts singing, "Jijaji has finally come" and everyone runs out except Laali and Majri. Majri eyes open wide in shock as she hears the news. Majri tightly holds Laali with her face saddening and tears in her eyes. She stares at Laali for a good 5 seconds and then leaves the room to accompany Nanku. Three cars approached the house. Munna runs to greet them and waves his hand whilst smiling. Four or five men leave the first and third car. All of a sudden the door from the middle car opens....a hand comes with a huge gold bracelet around it. The man is slowly revealed as his legs and eyes are shown. The whole village is watching in the background. It is the same man who saw Laali on the main road the other day.
The bottle..
In the dark room where Phulmati has been prisoned with her husband, Phulmati sees an alcohol bottle which she managed to grab with her legs and smash it. Both of them try to use the broken pieces of glass to break the rope open. Both are sweating in the heat. They are successful. Both are escaping....the guards see them running and run after them.
Thakurji had finally arrived..
The men have approached the house, and this new man, the Thakur, is now collecting the wedding gifts from the villages in a big blue cloth. Laali in the distance looks at the man and thinks to herself that this man looks much older than her. One of the villagers secretly asks Nanku if this is Ganeshiya or not. Nanku looks @ Majri who looks back. Majri says, "No no, this is not our Ganeshiya." The villager asks, "Who is it then?" Another female villager tells Nanku and Majri that these people don't even look like your relatives...they look like rich Thakurs. Nanku replies by saying, "This is Thakurji at who's our Dhamadji works. Dhamadji had some important work so couldn't come, therefore Thakurji came instead. Majri adds, "They are good people."
Note - Guys, they are addressing this guy as the Thakur:
As Laali is preparing to leave the house, the men who had come to collect her just randomly get up and walk towards the car. The Thakur who we had seen previously whispers some instructions into one of his men's ears. That man starts to walk back towards Nanku as the rest of them leave in the three cars they had come in. The man asks Nanku to bring the girl to the Mandir. When Nanku asks why, the man said they had some ritual to do before they could take Laali. The villagers are confused...
Shuddikaran-
Nanku, Laali and Majri meet the Thakur and his men @ the Mandir. They are performing some rituals on Laali as everyone watches. The villagers work out this is a "Shuddikaran" ritual. Shuddikaran is the cleansing of the soul with water (I think). As the ritual finishes, Laali, all wet, looks perplexed at Majri who has tears in her eyes.
Tomorrow:
Everyone is crying as Laali looks back at her family from the car. The car eventually disappears off in the distance..
_____________
Possible confusions..
- Why was a shuddikaran ritual done?
This is done to cleanse the soul and body. It was done on Laali as she comes from a low cast family

I hope I have done a good job. This is my very first update so forgive me for any mistakes. If you have more questions then feel free to leaveyour comments.
