Ok so we figure out that TTS wanted this from the beginning for the following reasons:
1. He wants people (and Ganga) to think that Krishna orchestrated this so they hate her
2. He thinks his political dreams are back on track with a BDO bahu, and thinks he can make her dance to his tunes once he gets her all emotional about being his bahu
3. He kind of got a kick out of making fools out of BDP
My only question is whether he expected Pintu to fight off the goons... or was it just a win-win for him where he had two plans in place? And either one resulted in his victory...and Krishna's humiliation?
My favourite scene in todays episode was the one with Manisha's husband! What a gem that man is and I can see him being a huge support to Krishna even later. He is cut of the same cloth as VP and there is something so powerful and yet graceful about the character. I loved how gravely he was talking to Pintu as though appraising him of the seriousness, but perhaps this was not the best time to address this with the euphoric Pintu, who was just waiting for a chance to declare his love. I am sure these words will come back to him later though. Her husband and the fiery Manisha, who is often Krishna's voice of reason, make for quite the power couple! I think they are my second favourite couple on the show!
I am so confused by Babloo...nuff said. I am also confused by how quickly Pintu recovered from the confrontation with his mother. But in another sense it was comforting because he didn't begrudge his new wife the happiness of this occasion and the investment it merited. The scene with the gatbandhan was of course very symbolic because Pintu was ever ready to discard it in favour of running after his mother until TTS stopped him. That disturbed me a great deal. I am not saying he shouldn't have gone after his mother, in fact I am surprised he listened to TTS, but he should have asked Krishna to come with him, thereby going after his mother, but not jeopardising the new bond with Krishna. She would have been only too happy to follow him. Instead he fell into TTS' trap, like everyone else and he will suffer for it. But I think here is where Krishna will step in, an equal force to TTS.
Precap was poignant. I loved Saraswati's advice, so true to character. She is ever the realist and is equipping her child for the less than ideal reality she knows she has to face. But it was nice seeing her new faith in Pintu.
