i m in love with a guy and even he loves me...we plan to get married and hence we both spoke to our parents. But after speaking to his parents, his parents started demanding for dowry. And even he also took thier side. Now he wants to leave me and go along with whatever his parents says. I don't know what to do...my parents can't afford the dowry that they are demanding so i m completely helpless...we have been witheach other for over than a year.

well the answer is quite obvious, ditch him.

he's not worth your love, and honestly, he doesn't love you from the bottom of his heart, he just loves the dowry you will bring into the relationship.

think of the future, these are the kind of people you will grow old in, your children will grow up in such an environment.

do you really want that? do you really want to make your parents suffer, trying to fulfil the dowry wishes of your prospective in-laws?

besides, demanding dowry is totally illegal.

forget about him and his parents, find someone who loves you for you, and his love isn't dependant on your bank balance

:) it may be hard, but it's for the best. you deserve someone better.

Personally I think people who demand for dowry are sick! As if it isn't enough that someone's giving them their daughter!

Girls are not things that they buy!

Let's STOP it here! He doesn't love you if he wants dowry and since you can't give it, he's ready to leave you.

It's better to leave him and move on with your life. Never given in, otherwise you will never be happy.

I think you should sit down with him and ask him if he loves the other stuff more than he loves you so if he pics the stuff then you should leave that jerk..... he doesn't deserve one bit of you.........

i know if we tell you to just ditch him it will sound downright mean even though it is something we all suggest......

if u really really love him i noe how much it hurts to let go....

so speak to him. clear things off! and even after this he demands for dowry then be thankful to God that atleast u foudn out earlier....God forbid u got married to him and realized what bad inlaws u have!!!

i know its hard. just have faith in God. ull noe what to do....think abt the pros n cons...will definately help you!!

and yeah dont forget about your parents...theyve brought u up n made innumerable sacrifices for you...give them respect thru this whole ordeal n make they rnt ridiculed by the boys side.

if the boys parents askd for dowry somehwat understandbale....old fashuoned people.

but if the guy asked for it too.....its defnately a NO-NO

sorry to say but ur bf is sick ditch him he dsnt deserve u he wants money not love. neva hurt ur parents. u will find sum1 who deserve u so dw he wasnt d 1 :)

what an idiot how can dowry be someone's family honour? 😕 😡 They need to get a life 🤢 and I think you should forget him and move on 😊 I' am sure you will find someone much better than this guy 😛

no offense... but by doing something like that.. he has really shown his true character. now is ur chance... leave him!! u can do so much better... and ur lucky you saw this side of him before marriage. he only wants ur money.. thats all!!!
