Sure lady.

There are plenty of softwares using for the animations and modelling in production houses these days.

Few are : 3ds Max , Autodesk Maya, Cinema4D, Z-brush, Blender, Smoke, Flash (2D), Swis max, Autocad, Photoshop, Fireworks and lots of there.
