Thankfully I managed to catch the show last night so here's the first update of the show:š
- Billo tells Shastri that Minali's alliance has been fixed
- Minali upset at leaving Urmi
- Poonam locks Urmi away for the engagement
- Engagement starts
- Urmi gets angry and hurts Neelam
Man [Shastri] is praying to a Tulsi plant. A woman [Billo] comes in and happily tells him that she has fixed Minali's alliance in a big house. He calls his wife Rama and gives her the good news. Billo tells that the ladke wale want the engagement to take place today as the boy will be going overseas soon. Shastri and Rama wonder how all arrangement will be done quickly but Billo tries to convince them. Shastri says that Minali is at a picnic with Sharmas as Urmi was insisting.
Billo pulls a face and says that Urmi will one day become Minali's downfall.
Urmi shown running with balloons. Minali calls out. Both girls play and talk. Minali gives a rueful smile to see Urmi with other kids. Scene ends with sister looking out at the beach.
Shastri's houseā¦
Rama is praying to God. Her son [Minali's brother] comes down and Rama asks him about the decorator. Son says that he's not picking up, bahu [Poonam] comes and scolds him saying that it's his sister's wedding and he should go to the decorator himself as well as get the mitthai. Rama tells him to get 2 kilos but Poonam says that they are forming relationship with a big family so he should get 3 kilos and tells Rama to give more money as everything has become more expensive. Rama smiles and tells her son to be more sensible like Ponnam. She hands over another 500 Rs. Note and leaves.
Poonam takes the extra note and tells her husband to just put less in a mitthai box.
Laterā¦
Urmi and Minali return home. Rama informs her about the engagement and Minali becomes angry to hear this. Billo takes her to one side and explains to her that Shastri has always worked in a government job and doesn't have a lot of money but the ladke wale are not asking for dahej which is the biggest thing.
Urmi asks what dahej is. Rama takes Minali and Urmi away to get dressed.
Billo heads to the kitchen and looks worried. Poonam asks her what the problem is ā Billo replies that she hasn't informed the ladke wale of the mad Urmi otherwise they would never have agreed. But she wonders what will happen if Urmi does something in the engagement. Poonam looks determined and tells Billo to leave Urmi to her.
Minali's roomā¦
Urmi is talking to her teddy bear whilst Minali looks sad. Rama comes in with clothes and Urmi innocently asks where her clothes are as she is also getting engaged and going with Minali di. She hugs Minali who becomes emotional.
Billo elbows Poonam who tells Urmi to come with her so that she can get ready and coerces her with chocolate. Urmi happily goes with her.
Rama talks to Minali and becomes emotional as she says that such a big burden has been lifted of their shoulders. Minali replies that is worried about who will look after Urmi after she goes. Rama assures her that the whole family is there for Urmi.
Meanwhile, Poonam takes Urmi upstairs to the store room and points out Urmi's penguin toy. As Urmi happily talks to her toy, Poonam backs out of the room and locks the door. Urmi becomes frantic and knocks on the door, asking Poona to let her out.
Khanna'sā¦
A man is calling Neelam and asking if she is ready yet. Neelam looks through her clothes. Her husband comes in and says that she knows how important today is for Mom as today is Aadehs's engagement. Neelam replies that first she had a doubt but now she is sure that Kripa [the mom] loves Aadesh more than her younger son. Her husband smiles and tells her that she can say all this later but for now she has to get ready.
Kripa is shown coming down the stairs talking to the pandit. After he hangs up, the family head towards the car. Kripa asks for Aadesh who appears ā Kripa smiles at her son.
Shastri'sā¦
Urmi is weeping in the store room and calling for Minali. Meanwhile the boys side arrive and Minali is also brought down. Rama brings the rings; Aadesh starts to pt the ring on Minali whilst Urmi pulls on the door which finally gives way. Just as Aadesh is about to put the ring on, Urmi appears and throws a fit.
Rama goes to take her away and Billo hastily tells Aasesh and Minali to complete the rasam. Neelam tells them to stop and at least take the mad girl away. The family are shocked and a furious Urmi retorts that Neelam is the mad woman. Neelam tells her to shut up. Urmi's anger rises and before Rama can stop her, she throws her ball at Neelam who starts bleeding.
