As the subject title suggest - do you think Sameer should tell his parents the truth about Antara? If they react adversely, should he elope with Aarti (still can't figure out what he sees in her...LOL)!!

I definitely think that Sameer should tell his parents the whole truth about Antara. I do value the concept they are trying to portray by showing Sameer hiding the truth from his parents - it is after all how our society often works, his parents, as it is, are not that accepting of Aarti & the family she comes from, if they know the whole truth, they might just walk away from this rishta.

Whatever the case may be, Sameer is very supportive of Aditya & especially of Antara (more than Aarti is). I personally feel that he should tell his parents everything & then deal with the consequences...it is better that way rather than Aarti trying to "stash" Antara away during her wedding festivities...

Please share your thoughts.

Hmm....I tend to agree but imagining the consequence makes me infelicitous.Because entire Vermas will be devastated if the relationship is called off & that crone will only blame Antara for this.

^^^ True but then I am sure Sameer would elope with Aarti...he is not the kind of guy who would abandon her for his parents...

1. They are hiding the fact that Antara is Adit child. It could be due to the fact that she is born out of wedlock which means that Adit is a man with a loose character. As it is the parents dont think much of him since the arrangements are not approved.
2. They are hiding that Antara is autistic. They may be fearing that autism is inherited and that their grandchildren would be like Antara.
Whatever the case mayb, I truly believe that they be told by Sameer. They should not hear the truth from some other source. And finally w.r.t. Antara what is there to be ashamed of ......... for heaven's sake. The truth will out anyway.....................can you keep a lid on something like that?

Skep - totally agree with you, esp on the point of eloping not being the solution...besides, Sameer seems to be a dignified gentleman, I don't think eloping will be an option he would consider.

yes he must tell them the truth but in a very direct way that is something which does not concern them and they must keep out but sameer parents as we all know will always mix in to create havoc.

Sameer's dad seems like a big drama queen. The truth has to come out and I think he will go crazy!

Also, I don't see what Sameer sees in Aarti. What happened to the other moti moti Aarti actress? Did she get fired?

Well, my first instinct is that: He should tell them the truth.
But then, as I think, I realize the risk. If he tells them the truth about autism, his dad will break off the marriage. He will think that Antara is crazy. This will make Aditya more upset and depressed. As it is he's spent so much money for her wedding, and he's even working as a salesman on the side.
If he tells his dad the whole truth about Antara being an extra-marital affair child, then his dad will ruin Aditya's reputation. This will make his sister not be able to get married by anyone because they will think that they're not a good family. This will truly hurt Aditya.
He already doesn't agree with the marriage or like Aditya, so he's looking for excuses to break off the marriage. At this point hiding Antara's true identity seems like the best alternative, but then again, her autism isn't something that can be hid.
It's almost like a Catch 22 situation: If Sameer (or anyone) tells Sameer's dad about Antara autism, the marriage is doomed, and even if they don't tell, it won't stay hidden for long. Either way, something bad will happen before their marriage.

Maybe Sameer will tell his father about Antara once the marriage takes place. After that the old man will come round...... I hope. Perhaps Sameer understands his parents the best because he was one of those who stopped Adit from telling them the truth. 😕
