Thats what i think...too...She would have joined and then fell in love with Malik...

But the senior Malik insisting that she proves her capabilities to run the mission...makes me feel...She would have been recruited only by Malik...and not by the whole organization...

They didn't show anything re Sathu... all they showed was a couple very much in love expecting their first child. and also showed Shahana knew everything about hubby's work. didn't seem like that she was actively part of it. but after Malik's death when she asked to take command of the mission then to prove that she has the mettle Mail Snr asked her to kill the helping hand at her place. a guy who was like a part of family and took care of her while Malik went away. She was shocked but she went ahead and killed him. also baby was born the day Malik was killed at the airport.. around the same time.

See there is never any need for her to join the organization..she could have been sympathetic with their cause ..She was content being the wife of Mallik , A typical housewife strongly supporting her husband and not nagging him and allowing him to plan his missions.. Her intelligence and empathy was recognized by Mallik who would reveal the details to his wife cos she was his strength ...Men do this, I mean talk shop with spouses .. revealing things which they would not even dream of revealing to their shadows..
