The TRPs are calculated just by getting the information from the cable TV operators. Its a differect racket altogether. I know in South India, for preventing people from watching a particular show, the local distributors air the latest film's pirated CDs and of course adult movies. So that keeps the channel from getting switched on.

When i questioned them saying having a TV channel on at that particular time does not mean the family is watching the show, the guy laughs. I told him that people attend to rest of the work leaving the channel on because most of the time there is fight for channel switch over and the remote of the TV is deliberately lost. the metre readings(no clue how) is connected to the cable TV distributors control box for the locality. And hence they calculate TRPs. And all women will be clearing the dishes and ironing children's clothes and dont get a chance to switch over the required channel.

Even when i visit my home back in India, I dont argue with my mom to watch KB at 10 pm, IST because she watches something else that time. So does that mean I am no more a viewer because I want to let my mother enjoy her usual leisure time?????

When I said conduct online polls, he says not all log onto internet. So I told them that they themselves have the answer. people who dont win an argument over TV remote conveniently watch online and that viewership is never included. When I said, why dont you improve your technology and dream about getting global, they say its a far reaching thought. I said start it now, you may achieve 5 years down the lane. they say please send us an email and we will forward your concerns to the concerned department. I suggested that watching a show at that particular time alone is not viewership. I said go check India forum,desi**fo*** and other forums and put together they will get at least 20000 visits within half an hour of the show getting aired. tehy say, we know Karol bagh is doing well internationally, but not among the entire Indian audience.

Every alternate day, thjere are a minimum of five members here constantly calling and practically irritating them. It shows in their tone. But I have decided not to let go. For the past three months, my phone bill is astronomous. What to do???? EFFECTS OF THE ORIGINAL KB SHOW

Maybe ZEE will see this and decide to award Karol bagh next time! :D
