I was not disappointed that Simi and Abhi didn't have a Suhaag Raat. The whole build up towards it was dull and boring I couldn't imagine how interesting it would have been to be a fly on the wall if they had done the horizonal tango.
Talk about a forced and contrived date. First they go to the Gudwara, then they ride a bike, then they eat chat. That's it. NOTHING else worth watching. I was so bored out of mind watching them. I thought to myself, if these two never go out on a date, I will hug all of you on this forum with joy. I just cannot bear to watch a chat eating or pani puring feeding scene again, a bike ride, and lots of background music with that song again...
For me Simi and Abhi have totally lost all their chemistry. I don't know who I am watching these days because this was not the couple I "met" when I first started watching the show. Second, the dialogue between them is either about their family or so childlike. Their babytalk is irritating. It's neither funny nor romantic. All this wanting to ride the bike, talking Punjabi, getting upset with Abhi for some water. It was so dreadful, I wondered, who are these people?
I was not saddened that Abhi and Simi didn't get to have sex when they don't even have a romantic relationship. After they were married, so much could have happened to show the development of their relationship together. We never got to see anything and then out of nowhere we're forced to watch them go out on a date.
It's Friday, I haven't even watched all four epsiodes this week - just the few Simi-Abhi snipits that Shanti posted on FB - and I don't think I can force myself to watch them this week...that's sad...
