When Abhi commented to Simi that he realized she had responsibilities towards her family, I asked myself what responsibilities? It is good to see that the writers recognize that we should never expect that a girl forget about her own family once she is married, but Simi has never stopped forgetting about her family. Even after she married Abhi, all she does is think about them. What the heck did she marry Abhi for if all she was going to do was worry about them😕?
Her loyalty to her family is unconditional to the point that she is self-destructive. She's lucky she has someone like Abhi who is kind enough to allow her to remain so fixated about them. I'd like to have seen her try to do all of this if she was married to RB or Nakul. I don't think she would have dared.
Prior to marriage, she had no major responsibilities other to get married. YES writers that is all Simi had to do. Did Simi's income go towards the upkeep of the house? Was she taking care of a sick family member? Did Simi run the household? No, no and no. Simi had no major responsibilities otherwise the family would never have wanted her to get married. Even Simi, time and time again, commented that if she did not get married, how would her siblings get married?.
Today the writers are looking for excuses for Simi's behavior; they want this woman to be the heroine and justify her self-sacrificial behaviors even after Abhi has entered her life. It seems it's this is only storyline they have and plan to milk to its fullest.
No-one is telling Simi to forget about her family; all audience members want to see is Simi acknowledging Abhi. Are the writers not able to do both? I can 😛 😳 It does not require much talent . A line here or there. If they can't write it, we will volunteer. Email us the scripts and we'll fix it for you😛. Free of charge.Of course some here (not me just to clarify) might ask for a hug and kiss 😳 from Neil Bhatt, but that's OK, right? 😉😆English 101. SValCalGal, you are welcome to set the grammar correct on this post. I have met three people in my life with awesome grammar and I have to say you are the third one. The other two were my former bosses. I think we can all learn something here including myself 😉
